I can't believe this isn't at least a four star coffee shop I've been to all the other coffee shops and also restaurants around Frankston and 99% of them you have to come up and order and plus you have to wait 20 plus minutes for your food when it isn't even busy but at the Blue Iguana your food comes out fast and fresh all the time! plus the male waiter there is yummy also!

I'm not sure how to rate this because the food is good but the coffee is terrible. They have a couple servers but the owner has pitiful customer service skills and she insists on working the espresso machine which she hasn't a clue how to use. We use to frequent the place but after we requested on a couple occasions that a known qualified staff person make our coffee was met with such a pour attitude by the owner, we decided to never go back. There is beginning to be a lot of turn over on the staff as well. I can't support a business who mistreats their employees and customers. It's just bad business and not a nice way to go about life.

What a pity! The food isn't bad, the renovations long overdue and well presented and the waitresses are friendly, capable and hard-working. And then there are the senior staffs! She's tired, unfriendly and the poster girl for 'beaten womans syndrome'... he's outrageously rude, foul-mouthed abusive and ignorant. Its always an experience trying to enjoy a meal whilst he yells, swears and throws abuse at his wife... real classy! But its just outright sad to watch him verbally abuse and show absolutely no respect to his young staff. She's sad and somewhat pathetic... Not nice to watch...steer clear!

Have been eating here on and off for about a year now. Service quality depends very much on who is working on the day. They have just reopened with a new kitchen and a great looking wood fired oven, but, unfortunately, the good chefs all seem to have gone and cooking is up to the grouchy, agressive, apparently inebriated senior staff.

The food is not bad but the attitude sucks, and the woman at the front counter, defines bad attitude and arrogance. They are abusive to staff and customers. Avoid the cafe if these two are in attendance!

I was at the cafe this morning for brunch with a friend and have to say I have never been more appalled in my life. I have been here a few times and only 2 staff members were pleasant and gave me great service, which, unfortunately, are no longer there and have to say I don’t blame them. How the owners got a business which consists of dealing with customers is a mystery. The elderly woman who is always there has the worst mannerism I have ever seen... and the man... well that’s another story. All in all the staff and management are by far the worst I have ever seen and would sincerely recommend that u steer clear of this place if u are looking for a friendly and welcoming environment for family and friends. I will most definitely not be going back.

Hi, The Blue Iguana is one of those cafes that can be absolutely fabulous one day and absolutely horrible the next.

The food is generally good but have had to send back meals a few times, bacon not crispy when specifically asked for and other things like this. The waiting staff also definitely have their moments. Some are very good and others don't seem to really want to be there though I do have to say that the service has picked up quite a lot over the last few weeks and I've even been given free coffee if my bacon (or whatever) wasn't quite right.

Would like a bit more room too as can get very crowded at times and if you're sitting near the counter, people waiting to pay or for take-away coffee will be crowded right up against you, not pleasant.

Overall there seems to be improvement which is great 'cos as I said when they're good they're fantastic.

I have been going to The Blue Iguana Cafe for over six months now, I absolutely love the food, environment and the friendly staff. It was quite difficult for my wife and I to find a nice place where to dine around the area, we moved from camberwell and struggled to find a place like this. No need to look anymore.

Have been going to the B.I for over a year now, and I know a thing or two about good food. You would have to travel to the city and pay way over the odds for anything like this, thank god it's in Seaford I'm saving heaps in petrol. Pete and Bridget keep up the good work.

I went here for lunch and I was amazed by the pizza I had been given. Was massive and well worth it. Staff were terrific! Thanks for a wonderful dining experience, I will be back!
