Unfortunately the The Base Camp is gone and is replaced by a new refurbished restaurant with a different name. I'm not sure if it's still Nepalese but we were quite loyal to The Base Camp. The staff were so warm and friendly and it was quite good value and very tasty without being overbearing. It can be a little cold sometimes, that's the only downside.

Something is only value for money if you enjoy it. I certainly did. Trying many samples of various meats and vegetables by choosing a banquet. The goat was the best I have had in ages. Not the most ambient of restaurants but you are here for the food and the small dent it makes in your wallet, not the colour of the carpet or paintings on the wall
