Both Australian and international, with an emphasis on food matching, there is no point having an amazing list that doesn't match what comes out of the kitchen. Price point is also a major factor, if you want a cheeky glass of somethig or blow the budget.
Good food and wine must be matched with good service and great atmosphere, there is no point having one without the other, we hope we bring all these elements to what we think is a lovely old building in a lovely part of the world.

Overview
Lovely old fire station, lots of character. The name barrio means neighbourhood, so we hope Ivanhoe sees it as their neighbourhood place. We have a private function room, that can cater for up to 22 people at one table or 40 people at separate tables. The front of the restaurant opens out to the street, so in spring, summer it will become a great meeting place, maybe for a quiet beer, glass of wine or a coffee. Henry made his name at Italy 1 Camberwell as head chef and with the team he has brought to barrio with him, we are sure the locals will love the food. The wine list hopefully has something for everyone, some back vintages have been added of late,a good range of wines by the glass. Some funky stuff sits comfortably beside the more conservative varietals.

Fantastic food and great service. Not really a family restaurant but great for couples and groups. We went on a Saturday night and the place was full, so probably best to book ahead.
Great food choices and quality and presentation were excellent, fantastic service and really good wine choices. Will definitely be going back, look forward to summer nights when the front windows can be opened up onto the street tables. 2 private dining rooms with open fireplaces, and main dining area.
