Always busy but would lose some of it's atmosphere if it wasn't. You may have to wait for a proper seat but you can perch in the waiting area and have a nibble and a drink. Service was very good and they have good recommendations for the almost completely european wine list.
Small tapas meals and drinks including cocktails are absolutely delicious and worth the wait. Keep in mind this place is for a more decadent night, if you're after cheap and nasty go to chinatown down the road.
Went on a friday night so it was busy. We quite quickly got a seat at the bar which was ok, albeit not as good as having a table. Had 5 tapas dishes plus 1 cocktail and 1 galss of wine and $140 seemed quite steep for that. Of the tapas there were probably 3 quite good ones and 2 not so good ones, so would not head back in a hurry but not by any means a disaster.
Oh My ! Just amazing! I was taken to dinner here for my birthday & it was truly incredible. We asked our fantastic waiter to select the range of tapas for the five of us. Service was just great with the timing between dishes perfect.
We had the roasted mushrooms with garlic cream which were served in a mini cast iron frying pan. This was followed by eight other dishes including an assortment of vegetarian dishes with amazing ingredients, a delicious rabbit dish but the absolute highlight was the Yellow tail kingfish pancetta & lemon oil. Literally wafer thin slices of magnificent Kingfish infused with delectable citrus flavours.
I simply couldn't fault the food for its remarkable and surprising texture and flavour, impeccable service and a great atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Now here' s talent. The food is to die for and the wine list worth the education. Yes the room is minimal but for a partnership trio on a budget do yourself a massive favor and get in before these guys get too busy. The 1st Floor space is perfect for functions.
On a cold and windy Melbourne winter's day this was a great spot to indulge in some terrific food. Thoroughly recommend the lamb dish with sweetbreads, kidneys etc and the bacalhau was superb. The green beans with almonds and Labneh are not to be missed.
