Certainly one of the finer restaurants going around for quality seafood, not a big long menu that you have to sit and ponder over, the service was excellent and the food divine. Make sure you leave room for dessert because they are some of the best desserts we have tried. If you are after a cheap meal then this isn't the place for you but if you don't mind paying for exceptional quality give it a go. Only one little thing to note, to me the seats were a bit on the hard side.

I went to Bacash last week. Service was spot on, food so fresh I think the fish came through the door alive. The oysters here are the best in Melbourne if not Australia. Great place to eat.

A big improvement from our last visit three years ago. Truly excellent and generous serve of john dory, perfect calamari with salsa verde, great chips and salad. A well priced wine list. The only disappointment was the signature prawn and garfish in nori. It has never tasted as good as it did the very first time I had it at Toofeys over a decade ago. Deserving of the recent new attention.

I was very impressed both by the level of the cuisine and service. My mussels (entree) and garfish (main) were great.

My fiancé and I came here for Valentines and it was quite disappointing. Food was okay, service was poor. They had run out of things on the set menu for the second sitting, and weren't able to give us an ice bucket for a fairly expensive bottle of white wine. Generally didn't seem to have their act together for a pretty important night in the restaurant trade.

Nice food, but not worth the money. Dining is very cramped, I felt like I was practically sitting on the lap of the people on the next table. They could hear every conversation of ours and visa versa. Not very comfortable. Not good for a couple. Would be suitable for, perhaps, a corporate or group booking. Service was average, especially considering the $$$ paid.

One of my favourite restaurants .. Modern Australian with Japanese influence. The place is a bit small but bustling even on a Thursday night. The service is great. You should definitely try the kingfish sushi style .. it's interesting.
