A big improvement from our last visit three years ago. Truly excellent and generous serve of john dory, perfect calamari with salsa verde, great chips and salad. A well priced wine list. The only disappointment was the signature prawn and garfish in nori. It has never tasted as good as it did the very first time I had it at Toofeys over a decade ago. Deserving of the recent new attention.
Nice food, but not worth the money. Dining is very cramped, I felt like I was practically sitting on the lap of the people on the next table. They could hear every conversation of ours and visa versa. Not very comfortable. Not good for a couple. Would be suitable for, perhaps, a corporate or group booking. Service was average, especially considering the $$$ paid.
One of my favourite restaurants .. Modern Australian with Japanese influence. The place is a bit small but bustling even on a Thursday night. The service is great. You should definitely try the kingfish sushi style .. it's interesting.
