The coffee is to die for... How fantastic to be presented with a coffee menu! This is the place to go for your daily pick me up. You might have to wait for a table on the weekend but well worth it!

This place if cool and trendy. Coffee and food is really good. Love their staffs. It really made us feel welcoming. The downside is that we have to wait for 30 minutes to get a table on the weekend. Which is understandable because it is a good cafe.

Auction Rooms is a grand disappointment. I was so excited when it opened. It looks great a lovely fit out. But sadly it did not live up to my expectations. The food is overpriced and it is far too busy on sundays to even get a quick coffee. Some dishes are good but overall I was disappointed with the food. The coffee isn't great either but if you like over-flavoured coffee served in retro glasses with a pretentious name then it may be your thing. I don't. So it's not.

Trendy hip cafe. Coffee is excellent, fantastic flavour served with the palm sugar. Breakfast menu overpriced and extras are ridiculous expensive for the small serve. However, service is efficient. Recommended for takeaway coffee only! ** out of *****

We got here early but by the time our meals arrived there was a queue of people waiting for tables along the side of the restaurant, out the door and down the street - popular place! Breakfast had some interesting choices like Coconut Stuffed French Toast & Banana Bread with Expresso Butter. I'm not fond of sweet things for breakfast so went with the 2 poached eggs on toast and added 'extras' from an extensive list. I had the Vegetarian Baked Beans which were a little bland and Bacon which was thick cut with a lovely smoky taste but wasn't crispy (for those that like it that way). The servings were a little small for the price. Coffee had an unusual flavour but wasn't unpleasant. Lot's of wait staff and they were all dressed in EMO style tight black jeans. The service was very efficient but not particularly friendly.

Best breakfast I have had in ages maybe even years. The options are fantastic and not just your usual fare, I had the tomato and chorizo stew it was outstanding. The service was friendly and relaxed. Will be back for breakfast and can't wait to try the lunch and dinner options.

A fantastic, grungy cafe that delivers! I have the pleasure of working a stone's throw from this lovely establishment and the coffee there is divine! Breakfast is beautiful (esp "Counter Bid") but be sure to arrive early or be prepared to wait. Dinner is pretty impressive too. Having a fairly conservative palatte, I initially found their rather small menu option rather daunting and challenging. But my fears are unfounded. They were able to create such wonderful combination, you feel like you're on the set of Masterchef! Great stuff!

This place is a recent find for me and I'll definitely be going back. Here's my summary:

Pros: atmosphere is wonderful, staff are friendly and attentive, flavours are really creative and tasty.

Cons: can get a little loud on busy nights, meals are a tad under-value (could be a bit larger or lower price), open limited hours.

Has become our latest favourite breakfast place! Sad that the braised pork belly has gone of the menu, hopefully it will be back again soon as it was very popular. Great different breakfast options on offer, and nice lunch choices too and to top it off excellent coffee! We are already regulars, well done Auction Rooms!

As a new local, this cafe is great! Loved the decor, the atmosphere and the layout. We had brunch here with a group of friends and tried out quite a few of the meals on the menu.

The counter offer would be our favourite of the savoury options, we loved the polenta cakes. The opening bid, corn cakes, apple pancakes were good but there was one tomato dish that looked and tasted like a big bowl of nachos. And the bake bean dish was so-so. Coffee was also good, although a little weak. Staff were great and so was the local buz. We'll be coming back!
