Its all abt quality of food. I mean food is divine and I have tried so many Indian restaurants in Melbourne but I never had the real taste anywhere else. I m agree abt the comments abt average service and they have to work on it to improve but I just understand one thing after I been there, that if ma frnz use to tell me abt that place repeatedly... it was just bc of the quality of the food... and as I believe if they will manage to improve their customer service then... they gonna be unchasable in market... and at last I can say... still... so far u are best and if the owner is reading I just wanna convey a message... always remember "continuous improvement" and keep working on that bc its easy to attract the customers but difficult to maintain... and u are doing both things in a very better way... I am strongly recommending this restaurant to everyone.

This was the worst indian meal we have ever had. Full of Msg, was so salty we could not eat it and had to throw it in the bin.

We had lunch here after visiting family in hospital and enjoyed an inexpensive meal (1st indian meal). The young indian lady who served us was excellent with her suggestions and also told us that they will be opening a restaurant in daylesford as we come from central vic we have raved about this place to our friends but need to know the address in daylesford can't wait to try it again.

Been there twice, food was very tasty and well worth the money. Haven't been to many restaurants where you can feed 4 adults and 4 children with desserts for under $100.

The food is ok nothing to rave about. Beware they are known to over charge you. Please insist for a bill and also check their prices. They claim their Egg plant curry varies with daily market prices like Lobsters. Do not fall in for their cunning trap when the waitress will recommends another dish not listed in the menu because they can charge whatever they like and you will not be able to argue over the price.

The food is excellent and recommended, ambience need to change and the waitresses need a little bit of training and a smile while serving. An excellent dining place for good value food at a reasonable price!

I have been living in Melbourne for the last 4 years and have tried different places for Indian food. No one has manage to keep the quality and service at a consistent level as this place has. It opened in 2009 and we were among the first customers.
This place has gone up and up and is a must try if you like Indian food. This place is a strictly a family place and those looking for cheap food and cheap fun should look somewhere else. There are plenty of places in Clayton and Dandenong and none of them comes closer to this Restaurant. Hats off, by the way, I have my own Restaurant in Mauritius and I think I know what to expect as a customer.

There is no need for service we thought but we got the best service in small place. You should always put your comments in the register at the desk. Overall cheap food+large quantity+good service = anshumann da dhaba. The best in town and should have one in dockland or city.
