“Sharing Your Passion for Quality Meat & Wine”
Alexanders boasts a Mediterranean style menu full of quality Australian meat.
Nearly everything on the menu is cooked over the open ‘Alexanders Great Grill’, which means a healthier meal for diners.
Choose your favourite cut from the meat display or order straight from the menu. Home style dishes include Chevapchichi and Pljeskavica.
To sample a little of everything try the Mixed Grill Platter – with steak, pork, lamb, sausage plus other grilled delights.
Steak fans will be pleased with the large range of prime beef offered at Alexanders; everything from Porterhouse to T-Bone. Lighter options of seafood & poultry options are available for those who prefer.
Alexanders understands how the right wine perfectly compliments a meal. With this in mind, Alexander’s Great Wall of select boutique wines has been created;- peruse the wine wall at leisure to search out the preferred drop, or choose from the recommended wine list. Of course, knowledgeable staff are always on hand to assist in selecting a bottle.

Its hard to recommend dining here. This place is a shadow of the former Butcher's Grill.
The food is lackluster, service slow (only due to the lack of staff employed). Your sides will arrive after you finished your main.
Overall not a pleastant experience. For the price there are much better alternatives around. Eg the seafood platter consists of a small piece of overcooked fish, two unpeeled prawns, six oysters and some calamari and no side all for $59.

We had dinner there a week ago - had lovely dinner - a little more expensive than normal for us - we chose the banquet which was a great success.

Service was great and staffs were friendly. Ordered seared scallops, which was cooked to perfection. Lamb shank was good, but a little more sauce would be perfect. Would definitely go there again.

I loved this restaurant! My boyfriend and I went to the Butcher's Grill on both bourke st and docklands, and we have always ordered the seafood mixed girll. The mixed grills are great! really good armenian food, and a fresh, exciting flavour to add to Melbourne's food scene. Service was good as well, our waiters were very attentive. Would definitely go again!

My wife and I had a very nice meal here a few nights ago. My wife had a steak that was one of the best she had tasted. I ordered a seafood plate (I don't nornally order seafood) and found the freshness, quality and taste to be fantastic. There was some noise from a nightclub next door and this did detract a little from the ambience.
Both of our meals were at the high end of the price range and quite expensive, the sauce for steak is $5 on top of the meal price. However, there were cheaper options on the menu and BYO saves quite a bit of money if you were planning to drink wine. Entertainment card holders can get one free meal.

An interesting place to say the least. The decor makes it look like a super fancy french restaurant. The name suggest a steakhouse and the actual menu is quite lebanese/morrocon-ish. We had the calamari for entrees which was tender (unlike how it's usually quite chewy) and easy to chew. I had the lamb skewers which, unfortunately, wasn't cooked properly and the salmon on a bed of mash which was nice but nothing overly exciting.
Service was good but it was almost as if the staff were trying to undersell their more complicated dishes which was weird. The restaurant shares a wall with a nightclub so the doof doof music coming through the wall was quite annoying. Not sure if want to go back.

Melbourne. When I sat down and asked for water, I needed to specify tap water as I was charged $4 for a bottle of water that barely gave me two glasses to drink. I really hate this as I do always forget to purposefully ask not to spend money on water, and $4 is far too expensive. I had the sea food platter, which was beautiful to look at, yet as there were many different things on the platter some seafood pieces were colder than others.
Killpatrick oysters were dried up and lacked sauce. Dining companions had steak which they loved, one piece of steak came out on a huge plate and a little mash potato under it, to look at we were disappointed, yet I am assured the steak was cooked to perfection and filled them up. The meat platters were also given good reviews by my dining companions, though there was a slight confusion as to the type of meat as chicken, lamb and goat were all seasoned the same.
I found the menu to be overpriced, especially the platters. Service was okay, we were greeted with a friendly and funny waitress, but as our orders came out in a staggered order from the kitchen, some of us were left waiting for the last plates to come out, also we didn't get an introduction to our seafood and meat platters, we were left wondering which was what food and had to call the waitress back to our table at least twice.
We dined on the weekend, and it was very quiet, they had little table turnover throughout the night, and I feel this is a telling sign to their popularity, so you may not need to have to make a booking if you want to just duck in, although with the prices I would consider this a one off evening. Ambience was impressive the moment we walked in through the door, noise wasn't too loud from other tables.

We visited restaurant in Dockland and had a great time. Meal and wine were delicious, friendly professional staff and beautiful view. We would love to come back.
