Rather disappointed when after reading that restaurant was byo with acceptable charge for corkage, to be told as soon as we entered the restaurant that "sorry no BYO on Friday nights". Menu was rather hard to understand, though food was tasty, the pasta dish was unbelievably small.
The cheese platter left a lot to be desired, 4 x finger sized pieces of cheese with small bits of quine paste and biscuits for $20.00. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful with describing each and every item on the menu which was definitely needed.
City style food at suburban prices!! Agrodolce has all the menu appeal of city and inner suburban establishments such as The Grill @ Grossi Florentino or Centonove, and price appeal of a restaurant in the "middle" Eastern Suburbs (Forest Hill) (mains ~$30). The service is down to earth and staff are very friendly - no pretentious waiter staff here. We would often go into town for a special occasion, but as the quality of the food at Agrodolce is on par with its inner city cousins and the fact that restaurant is just order the corner from us in Blackburn, we'll go back again and again. FABULOUS!!
Had a lovely meal here, not outstanding. We had a beautiful lamb dish and Baked fish in paper was fresh and delicious, was a bit concerned about my green risotto, ok meal good service.
