Phoned to ask about wheelchair access said they did cater for this and it does on the website as well. Booked this place for 25 people for our work Christmas dinner. When we got there we saw there's no way to get a wheelchair in, no wheelchair access toilets and no way for someone in a wheelchair to move around.
When I told the staff we had asked about wheelchair facilities they said we had lied. The colleague in a wheelchair had to be lifted into the restaurant. She could not stay long because there were no toilets and no way for her to move around and speak to other people.
We were made to feel like we lied. Our colleague was incredible embarrassed. As it was a friday 7pm there was no chance of finding a nice restaurant with 30 bottles of wine to find nearby. We stayed. The food was great. The service was poor. We were very disappointed. Very small restaurant had to ask people to squeeze in to get out the front door for a smoke. We asked for more food they said no it was only 9pm and we couldn't hear what we were saying unless we were shouting....won't be returning...
I found this restaurant via this website when the original one I wanted to visit wasn't open on a Sunday - and it was a happy find. I agree with other reviews - the food was great, not one single dish disappointed. Pricing is fair and service excellent. Will definitely be revisitng!
Excellent food supported by great service. The waitress Tina knew which wine went with each meal and she got it right. My partner and I shall return and this time we will bring friends and an empty stomach.
