Habesha Ethiopian restaurant is a great reason to venture into the morass of the Denny Triangle. It is a classy place, melding traditional Ethiopian with modern Seattle. You immediately notice the cultural art and the atmosphere. Habesha offers the traditional Ethiopian dishes: tibs lamb; the spicy chicken stew called doro wit. To this list, owner Mulugeta and Mulu has added a few novel tweaks.
Ethiopian Cuisine is combination of subtle taste. Fragrant, pungent and warm spices from all over Ethiopian are delicately blended to create the dishes we present to you. Each dish has its own distinctive flavour aroma, thank to the fresh spices that are prepared everyday for each individual dish. The blending and preparation of fresh spices is a centuries-old exacting craft indispensable to Ethiopian cuisine.

The food was spicy, pungent and totally delicious. No cutlery required as all dishes are served with traditional sourdough flatbread that is used, roti style, to scoop the food. The staff were very attentive and friendly and happy to recommend dishes. The traditional ethiopian coffee digestif is not to be missed either. Favorites were: gored gored - spicy, rare beef in berbere sauce and yatti wat - diced lamb with lemon and herbs. I only marked this down on ambience because not everyone is a fan of the bus-stop restaurant style.
