My boyfriend and I had visited Mesa on a Livingsocial deal purchased online for 2 banquets and a bottle of wine. The banquet serve was very generous and provided a large variety from dips, seafood, meat, salads and dessert. I returned with my family a few weeks later and opted for the A La Carte variety where we selected a few things we liked. It ended up costing similar to the $50 per head banquet option and the amount of food was a bit less.

Would recommend the variety and quality of the $50 banquet. Nice venue with attentive wait staff.

We had a group booking for 20-plus (two tables) and as organiser I checked my urbanspoon bible to read: 90% approval! Wow. It's now gone up to 91% and I too added a 'Like' on behalf of our diners. The kitchen managed to get all meals out so that no one suffered the empty-plate-torture.

Eye-candy presentation, quality not quantity, and resounding approval for the complete range of menu choices. Acoustics were fabulous - we savoured the complementary conversation, no competition from AFL cheersquad sound effects! We then adjourned to the ambient beer garden to bask in the great outdoors without sizzling like a barbeque sausage.

It’s super busy but the guys have it all under control, table for six? No problem come back in ten! It’s a slick machine bringing amazing coffee and fantastic food including breakfast all day!

The menu is yum-tastic! Breakfast is your eggs, bircher, beetroot cured salmon, trout omelette and roasted mushrooms and lunch is a deletable selection if pides, salads, steak sandwich and sardines, to name but a few! read more at my blog.

The only downside to this pub is the manager. After 8 weeks of popping in there once a week for a drink around 9,30, friends and I walked in only to have him tell us off for food we hadn't even order yet (because the kitchen closes at 9.30). It was hostile and unnecessary. He greeted us in a way that made us feel bad for stepping through the doors. Then he sold a drink to one of us, only to then pack up the seats and told us the were closing and we had to leave, also having a go at us for being 'rude'.
