Overview
Restaurant of a boutique hotel with lots of brickwork and a great ambience. For a wine bar they don't do very well but their steaks are good at a reasonable price.

I had basically the same experience as the previous reviewer. It took a few minutes before we were acknowledged at the front of the restaurant and seated. We also did not receive a wine list but was instead asked what we wanted to drink. Only 2 wait staff for the whole restaurant on a Saturday night. Service was lacking and it overall the experience was terribly disappointing. I wish I had read the previous review beforehand.
I've heard of this place from The Entertainment book. I made a booking for 8 people (for 8 pm that night) at around 10:30 am and have requested a copy of the menu emailed to me but have not received it until 5:30. By that time I have already left home so the menu was useless.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, the host took a long time to greet us, leaving us standing at the threshold of the restaurant. When they finally noticed us and showed us to our seats, it took about 15 minutes before the menu was given to us, minus the wine list. We sat there with the menu for another THIRTY minutes, waiting to order, the waiter was just walking past us and did not take notice nor did he ask if we were ready to order. We finally got sick of their service and left the restaurant.
This is not acceptable considering it was not even busy, they only had 1 other table occupied. The entire place was empty for a Saturday night! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Such a shame considering the ambience of the place, very intimate.
