The cakes are unique, light, and absolutely delicious. Its a little on the less sweet side, and thats perfect for me. The service is always polite and affectionate. The decor is a little shabby, but, at the same time, very homey.
They don't really have many cake options, but I find that, if what you want is not there, u asked them whether they have any, and you'll most likely find it for sale the next day. Freshly made!

Love their cakes!

Excellent place to have a mid-week lunchtime meal. The food is exceptional and done just right, and the chicken parma I had had a lot of extra stuff as well not just the chicken. Will be back again if I have mid-week leave that's for sure! The service is also great, note it is not open on weekends though.

We had dinner on the weekend, the food was average, the ambience was quiet, service and value was ok. But I don't think I will go there again.

The whole dining experience started off reasonably well until a waitress dropped a jug of water, meant for the table next to us, on the lap of my lovely 8 month and 3 weeks pregnant wife. Accidents happen but they didn't even make much of an apology or try to do anything about it. Eventually when the waitress noticed the look in my wife's eye that could have been interpreted as "I'm pregnant and hormonal and if you don't fix this now you will die" so she offered her a few serviettes and eventually someone came with a tea towel.

So the food ... I had the teriyaki beef bento box that comes with some gyoza. The beef were strips of the driest rubbery tasteless beef you could imagine and the gyoza weren't great either. My wife had a ramen that you wouldn't write home about either. We had eaten a few times here before and it wasn't bad but after this experience we won't be back.

I have dined here for yum cha several times and the food has been reliably good. The service, however, has gone downhill quite considerably. I don't mind broken English, but rudeness and being ignored is unacceptable.

On my most recent visit our bill came to $61.96. I presented my credit card and upon the waiters return was handed my receipt for $73.00. My waiter informed me that this was a 20% charge for credit card use. This was the first mention of such a charge, which surely can't be legal. I declined to sign for this charge and said I would rather pay in cash.

After a 20 minutes wait and much discussion(mostly in chinese) a senior staff arrived and assured me that my card would not be processed and I could pay in cash. Guess what? The card has been charged and I am still trying to rectify this! This ridiculous completion to the meal definitely will deter me from dining here again and raises questions about possible tax evasion. Not Happy!

A bit disappointing. It was difficult to talk to the people there. I had to repeat my self 3 times with the change of each hairdresser. Colour was left on my skin along my jaw line, up to my chin, on both sides. My hairstyle didn't feel too secure when I left and it didn't last very long. The ladies were lovely but were not sure what to do with thick hair. I would not go there again.

Only been to Sunny Harbour for the dinner trade, namely for the lobsters when they're on special. The food is average and usually lots of asian families gather for dinner to have Chinese meals. We had various traditional/usual dishes and all were eatable.

I'm a japanese food fan and the food here is good. But customer service is terrible and the same you would expect from a chinese restaurant and that's because the waiters are mostly chinese. Sorry but if you call yourself a japanese restaurant then you must learn the how to treat your customer from the japanese.

I have been eating at the Ritz with my wife over the last month. We enjoyed our meals until last week when the menu changed. What happened to the great variety of food? what has gone wrong with the service? The Ritz is just offering basic food to have with a beer. Pub food? There are plenty of pubs around with better food.

Brilliant childcare centre. I can go to work everyday knowing that my child is in safe hands and is learning. My child absolutely loves going to this centre.

We decided to try this place out as all the other Japanese restaurants were closed. We ordered the beef tataki, sashimi special and a creamy Japanese pasta dish. The beef tataki looked like it had been cooked by a 5 year old - all different sized chunks of meat cooked in a random way. The sashimi was alright and the pasta...I could probably cook better myself. The service was very unfriendly. Not going back!

I'm from SE Asia and love all kinds of Asian foods. Just rating the food: Average Vietnamese.

Goi Cuon was fresh but a bit chewy. Lemongrass beef vermicelli salad did not have much lemongrass or mint in it. Thankfully, vermicelli was served warm unlike some other thoughtless Vietnamese restaurants. Generous serving and we had the option to add our own sauces. Popular place with super-quick service.

I went to yum cha on a Saturday with a group of six. We found the food to be great, especially the greens and the vegetable prawn dumplings.

Our experience of the service was good. They were fast to bring us forks for 3 of the group, and happy to have the kitchen organise mango pudding for us. Tea was refilled quickly and there was a ready variety of food on offer.

We stayed a while having a chat and drinking tea, and despite the queue at the door they were happy for us to stay. With a mix of big and small eaters the meal came to $135, quite reasonable.

Two criticisms - while we were sorting out the $ for the final bill amongst us they kept wanting to take the tray, infact they went to grab it about 6 times and we had to tell them Togo away while we worked out each persons change. We were happy to leave a small tip so didn't have the problem reported here.

One of the fried dishes was only lukewarm when it came to the table and another was room temp.

Agree with previous reviews. The bento boxes and large sushi sets are pretty good value. The food quality is better than your average Sushi Train joints, but nothing extraordinary. The furniture and deco are very humble, then so are the people there.

Regulars at the Ritz over lunch and very disappointed. Food took a long time to come out, bland/not up to standard, what changed? Floor staff rude. NRMA

I'm surprised you had such a bad experience, with such a daming rating I would have though you would discuss your problems with the manager.

Yes the lunch service is very busy and we only took over on the 8th of January, dependent on what you ordered and the size of your group time to receive your meal can vary. As for staff rudeness we would need to discuss this in person to understand why this occurred.

This places offers small servings, but the food itself isn't too bad. I probably wouldn't come back regularly because the servings are so small.

Terrible food, and poor value. Fried food was soggy, laksa (for $11.80) had only a few slices of chicken, bean curd and plenty of beehoon with a bland taste. Our lunch was made by a girl who looked barely beyond 20 years old. I'm sorry, but the food is way below my standard.
