Potters Brewery and Cafe/Restaurant is one of the best places to spend a day in Hunter Valley. We took the brewery tour. Our guide Lachlan, was a smart, young and a frank gentleman. He gave us a good overview of the beer making a process, and some honest and funny anecdotes of the mistakes that they had made in their recent brew (Ask them about Icebock!). The fresh beers you can get here are so refreshing. The food is also nice though a touch on the pricy side. We went here on a Sunday and there was a solo artist strumming his guitar making the place even livelier! Will certainly go here again.

Went here on Friday for dinner. The restaurant looked quite nice with the rustic stone wall. We had the honour of sitting outside as it was a nice evening. The service was pick up only which I didn't mind.

The bar was quite busy and it did take a while to get a drink but well worth the wait. There in house brew was excellent and would highly recommend you try a few of the different varianty they have on tap.

The food on the other hand is a different story. We ordered a steak sandwiches and the pork belly. The steak sandwiches was prefectly cooked and the chutney in the sandwich was amazing. Unfortunately, the pork belly was the complete opposite, after trying to cut it with a knife and not getting very far I upgraded to a steak knife which was still a work out I finally got to try some of the pork with was hard and chewy the plus side to the dish was the apple sauce with was fresh and you could taste the crispness of the apples.

When your plates were clearly the waiter did ask how the food was and I gave him an honest answer to my surprise the feedback was taken and pasted on to the chef who past on his apologises. They did offer us complimentary drink because of the bad meals which you rarely see these days.

Overall I did enjoy the evening and would recommend it.
