Overview

Nestled in the environs of majestic Mt Warning, The White Olive, Modern Italian Restaurant has twice been finalist for the Restaurant and Catering Awards. Owner and chef, Le Ping Wong has won numerous awards for his creations, both in Australia and overseas, working alongside some of the world's best known chefs.
A weekly changing whiteboard menu with such favourites as pork belly tortellini, veal with macadamia, pistachio and walnut cream sauce, tempura battered soft shell crab and "always runs out" duck with red curry and lychee jus are complemented by a fixed pasta menu, homemade breads and desserts (most popular include the self-saucing chocolate pudding, lavender panna cotta and mixed nut and maple syrup slice). Vegetarian and gluten free diners are always provided for, with several excellent choices.
Set away from the main street opposite the fountains in beautiful Knox park, the great atmosphere and excellent service will make your dining experience one to remember.
