The ambience is beautiful. Lauxes is situated in a modern building facing a park. Our Sunday lunch however was very disappointing. The staff were spaced out and it took ages to attract their attention for our first drink. The table setting is exquisite with fine china and glasses. The meal was not of a high standard and represented very poor value for money. Service and the quality of food would need to improve before I returned.

My partner and I dined at the exquisite restaurant on the 080808, everything was perfect, the food, the wine, the atmosphere. We started our night with an entree of beef and scallops which were both delicious, the service was quick and the waitress was most attentive.
For our mains I decided to go with the Garlic Prawns and my partner the Roast Duck both meals presented beautifully and tasted amazing, at this point our bellies were getting full but not before trying the chefs special French vanilla creme brulee'......with a surprise proposal!!!!! which I guess was the sweetest part of the night.
Overall although I look through rose coloured glasses I think this restaurant is worth more than a look. Thank you to the staff who made our night flawless.

Wow! This place is before it's time and I don't think the locals appreciate it yet! For the same prices as plastic chair cafe's in broadbeach you can dine off Noritake and indulge in a glass of Aussie bubbles or Frances finest Champagne as you truly get to escape. Great job guys! Sydney awaits you!

This is a place to go to celebrate. It is very classy and the food is good. The bar staff can be slow and self interested but the owners are a great couple and try very hard to make your visit special.

The position looking over the park is beautiful but the staff are too busy trying to look beautiful to be of any use. Expensive drinks and food with poor service but worth going with the girls for a drink. (Also spell it backwards!)

I was tempted not to waste my time on this one but here goes - we sat on the lounge at the front (we were the only people there, 2 of us) the waiter did not come over, he was at the bar eating the lime slices. We had to approach him to get 2 glasses of champagne, at $20 each. After that we decided to order 2 glasses of wine and a dozen oysters (natural) and a squid entree. Well, by the time we had finished the wine there was no sign of the waiter or the natural oysters. In fact 40 mins elapsed before the food came - I asked once how much longer, well I couldn't think of anything quicker to prepare! The view over the park and the decor are nice but you could never go back with such poor service.
