Eaten a few times for lunch but the last two times they were not interested in giving us good service as we were not high rollers. Had to wait for drinks and a long time for the food. Was disappointed but gave another go. Was a tad expensive for the amount of food.

We were looking forward to a good food in relaxed atmosphere, as the restaurant appeared up market. We were so wrong! It was early Sunday lunch time but it was not that busy. Our 'Yum Cha' lunch set menu, however, took forever to come in between the courses. In fact, it was not Yum Cha at all, it was just an assortment of cheap dish after another.

Each dish came separately (after reminder to waiter that we had been waiting for too long), most ordinary spring roll, corn soup and chicken stir fry all came salty and greasy. Fried rice smelt stale. Waiting service was below average, no smile, aggressive and hasty. Abruptly shown to a table and the menu was left sitting besides our dish all the way through. We were tired of waiting, overcharged and very disappointed with the lack of quality in food. No, never again.

Just amazing food, great attentive service, lovely atmosphere, wish they were in Sydney! Only comment is that it was so cold in the restaurant that the food cooled almost immediately, and by the time we were ready for another serving all the food was stone cold. It was still delicious and we ate it anyway, but would have been better warm, perhaps, they could use those hot plates?

Biggest waste of money! Over priced for not very nice food. Paid $25 for "eye fillet" which came out looking like it was out of a can of chum and tasted just as bad. Would not go again or recommend it to anyone wanting to go out for a meal. Have been to the other restaurants in the casino and they were great but this one was not!

Been dining at this place for many years, seems that you get better attention if you dine in a large group. It is not cheap (over-priced in fact) but I guess thats due to its location. The food is good, but I have eaten better in local Sydney chinese eateries. Convenience factor here especially if you are staying at the Conrad and been drinking too much at the Bar next door.

We were really disappointed in Zen after hearing about it and reading the reviews here. We thought that our local chinese at home was equally as good if not better. We arrived at 6 pm, it wasn't busy, but our entrees came out 15 minutes apart which meant that we had to eat separately for that course. The spring rolls my partner ordered were overcooked, bordering on burnt. We ordered prawns from the special chefs selection that was pretty ordinary and 3 times the price of back home, our vegetable fried rice was the same story!

We don't mind paying decent prices for quality food (Zen between $30 and $40 for mains) but this was local chinese in flash restaurant disguise for us. We will be back to the same order back home in Marrickville next week for a quarter of the price!

Not cheap but great food, the Peking Duck is served with great ceremony and the San Choi Bow is one of the best that I have tried. Attentive service.

Without a doubt probably the best Chinese restaurant I have been to in Australia. Everything is delicious, perfectly cooked and not oily. Using fresh ingredients and exciting flavours, Zens gives life back to Chinese food. The service is consistently excellent and every visit here is a culinary delight. Having dined here around a dozen times over the past 3 years you can see why it has won so many awards.
