Great service, although I did get the feeling that we were been pushed in certain food choice directions. We chose the lamb salad and their signature dish yellowfin tuna both were really lovely. We used a buy one get one free voucher I found on the back of a docket, otherwise, I would have found the prices a bit on the high side for what you get.

We made a reservation, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated at the bach next to the kitchen door and a fish tank. My son thought the fish tank was amusing, but after a while we realised it was because it was dripping water onto him. The staff thought this was amusing. We had a very ordinary meal. I started with prawns, but they were tough and tasteless. For a main, I had prawns and bugs. It came in a heavy tomato sauce, so that the flavour was completely overwhelmed. Also, there was only two bugs. The dish was priced around $42 so I was a bit disappointed.
Others complained of dry fish and general lack of flavour. Dessert looked very ordinary, so we decided to pass. Never the less, the meal was over $300. All evening we could hear the talking and shouting in the kitchen, but had to shout to one another to be heard. The Gold Coast has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Next time, I'll be selecting another.

Lots of self promotion at the front with seafood resturant of the year, chef of the year etc etc. But I'm afriad all plaque and no delivery. Had the seafood platter to share. Most of it was ok with a mound of chips underneath but the batter fish was terrible. Soggy and tasting of old dirty oil. Initially sat by the indoor water feature that would spit at you every 30 seconds.

In pointing this out the staff didn't believe us but we did move to a different table, we did smile when another couple got spat on. Overall not a great experience, maybe chef of the year was away that night, maybe.

We love coming to Yellowfin Seafood Restaurant for a quiet intimate dinner, the food is excellent, the service is great, and you get exactly what you pay for. We ate here 3 nights in a row the last time we were in town and we're looking forward to coming back again in a few months.

Had such a great dinner at Yellowfin the other night, perfect calamari entree followed by their signature seafood platter. Everything was great, super friendly staff (think his name was John?) looked after us all night (by the way, thanks for the take home bottle of wine for filling out the customer survey at the end, what a great idea!). We'll definitely be back to Yellowfin Restaurant again!

We ate here as we didn't book anywhere to eat and there were tables available so we decided to try our luck as we felt like seafood. Whilst I cannot say that the food is really bad, I cannot say that it is great either. The food is quite expensive and I don't think it represents value for money.

The waiter made a mistake and bought out the wrong meals so we had to wait until they had the right ones. We were annoyed that he said he had checked the order and we were correct. Why would we say we had ordered something else?
We love a good seafood meal, but this is not the place to go if you feel like a great seafood meal. Mediocre in every way.

Came for a Sunday lunch recently after seeing their website. Being from Sydney, we didn't have anything more to go on than their website, and the few reviews. The neighbouring cafe's were a buzz with people, Yellowfin had only 3 tables taken. Perhaps we had not chosen wisely.

We came for seafood so we ordered natural oysters, moreton bay bugs and fish and chips. 2 of the 1/2 dozen oysters were not very fresh and tasted awful, not a good start. The bugs were very nice. Pan fried, great with lemon. Unfortunately the sauce which may or may not be bechemele was overly creamy and lacked any real flavour. Thankfully, it was served separately. Instead, I simply 'borrowed' some sauce from the fish and chips, much better. The fish was average I'm told. Both were served with salad and chips which were OK. Overall, the food was no better than ordinary pub fair. As such, we thought they were overcharging.

The wine list lacked any real quality by the glass. Considering the price of food, we would have been more than happy to spend a few dollars extra per glass of something decent. Below average. Again, ordinary pub quality. The service tried hard but it was somewhat over-the-top. Better luck next time.

The best seafood I have had in 20 years. The S&P calamari was perfectly cooked (tender and soft), and the sauce to go with it was creamy with a hint of lemon. My partner order Hot seafood platter which was all seafood (no chips and only salad garnish) and was also perfectly cooked. Again the Aoli was the creamiest and the best I have ever tasted.

I ordered Chilli Ginger prawns which were also cooked to perfection (not overly done and dry), and I would call them medium (if we are talking meat cooking). The prawns were delicate and the chilli ginger was sweet (real pickled ginger with real chilli, not just a botte sauce).

We originally booked at the Sister Restaurant 'Sage' but they overbooked and we were guided to Yellowfin and could have the 'Sage' menu. We chose the Yellowfin menu and I think the kitchen is all in one. You will not be disappointed.

Not the cheapest place to eat out in Broadbeach, but the food and service were outstanding.
