Awesome find. Had to get a bit "lost" to find the place, but what's a holiday without getting lost hey?

Had very good and authentic japanese food which cannot be found in Melbourne, especially at this price. The chirashi don (mixed sashimi on sushi rice) was really good, fresh seafood and they catered to our requests of replacing the sea urchin and cuttlefish. We also ordered the grilled salmon head which was heavenly.

Service was prompt and friendly, with the sashimi chef all-smiles and greeting each customer who walked in and left the restaurant. He also jokingly commented that we "passed" the "examination" of eating the salmon head as we devoured every part of the fish.

The price is really very reasonable and the ambience isn't the best for say a special dinner but the food more than makes up for it. You must try this place.

This food is proper japanese cuisine (as far as I know, not being japanese and all) at very affordable prices. Also, many of the dishes here I can't find at restaurants in Melbourne. The price is fair, that's why I gave value of 10, if you want to order an ordinary lunch it is very cheap but if you want to order something more special than of course you'll pay more. try the takowasa with sake, it's a perfect combo.
