Went there in March with husband the food was great. We went back 3 days later with 8 friends, everyone loved the food. On the 4 oct 2008 went back with husband, we both had the lobster at $60 each. At $120 we expected a good meal but it was the worst we have had.

The lobsters were only kittens, we could go to Woolies and bought them for less than $20, was served with cold fries, cold rice, green salad. We are very disappointed, we will never go back again and all friends will be told not to go there.

This was the worst restaurant I've ever been to!! First off, we walked in, they didn't greet, then told us to sit outside and we weren't going to be served alcohol. Fair enough. Then they took forever taking our order, we ordered a seafood platter for 2, when the meal finally came out, the fries were over cooked like rocks, the bugs were over cooked, they didn't have salt or pepper or tartare sauce.

Nobody asked if we wanted desserts or asked us how our meals were. When it was time for the bill, we asked the waitress to get us our bill, but never came, so we went up to the desk and left standing there for 20mins. This was the most terrible experience I've ever had in a seafood restaurant!!

Use to come to the restaurant, a shame it has changed so much. Prices have gone up and meal sizes have gone down. Plastic chairs and table cloths???? what are we paying for ambience of a bbq set? or the frozen seafood??

Dined in for lunch at this restaurant with a party of 40. The staff were warm, inviting and only to happy to help. On this day earlier in the week, the restaurant was very busy but the staff were there waiting to take our order.

The food came out all at the same time, hot and fresh. The food sizing was huge for the lunch special menu and we found nothing to complain about the $9.90 lunch fish special, snapper I think it was.

For a restaurant that has been apart of the coast for this long, I assume it wouldn't still be here if it wasn't great! I would highly reccommend it to anyone looking to dine out or for a function such as myself. As for the other comment about the Fire station, if you can't unwind and relax and enjoy the atmosphere that the place has to offer and appreciate the civic duty that the firemen provide to our community, all I can say is don't dine out.

Been dining here 17 yrs. Took friends to show off, plastic on seats and food way overcooked. Servings smaller but cost more. Only bright side to the night was excellent service but won't be going back.

Extremely overpriced for a bit of salad, chips and a small sliver of either meat or fish. Blaring sirens on the highway right beside the deck do not contribute to the ambience. Some inconsistencies in what wine is available by the glass (we were firstly told a certain wine was available, and then our order was declined). Service a little slow when it came to taking orders and drinks waiters were non-existent. would not bother again, and could not recommend.

We pre booked a table and when we arrived we were warmly greeted by the girl who booked our table. We ordered the Hot and Cold Seafood Platter for 2 and a bottle of red wine. The seafood platter was the best I've ever had. There was a good range of seafood (prawns, crab, fish fillets, scallops, mussels, oysters, smoked salmon and calamari) and a good balance of dips, salad and chips.

It was beautifully presented with colourful fruit, avocado and fresh lemon wedges. The fish that was fried wasn't greasy and was crisp and hot. The prawns and mussels were succulent and fresh. I would definitely return and I wouldn't even consider ordering anything else but the seafood platter.

Today I dined at the restaurant for lunch. I am a frequent user and today was a real disappointment. My husband ordered Prawns Trawler. When it was brought to the table it was cold, and sent back then when it was returned it was still cold. On the 3rd time it was OK but I had eaten my sole by then. When we finished no one took our plates and asked if we wanted coffee or dessert so we went and paid our bill and went. We always at least have coffee after the meal but not today very disappointing.
