Food is over priced the service was shocking due to the waitress losing our table and then not telling us for about 15 minutes, I took it upon myself to find out why and pay a handsome bill for two, but that was not all after being recommended the lamb rack over kangaroo I was surprised but after all what would the maitre d' know about kangaroo after all it's far better than any farmed product, but I took his advice thinking he knew what he had to offer us, I'm disappointed by my experience at Sage and will not be back! Despite seeing Sage winning many awards for service I thought it was way beyond the rest.!

We recently had dinner at Sage. With a long break between Eatability reviews I was unsure of what to expect. Turns out Sage was fine; nothing fantastic, maybe leaning toward Above average - almost. My wife had the Atlantic Salmon fillet which she loved; beautiful quality fillet cooked nicely. As a steak lover I had the beef rib (what I usually refer to as a Rib Eye cutlet). Again, a beautiful peace of meat, but sadly overcooked - increasingly common it seems nowadays.

I ordered medium-rare on the suspicion it would be overcooked, received medium-well. Lucky a good piece of meat so not a total write-off, but I do expect better. Order carefully. Our two children had the Kids' steak and chips. Again sadly like too many restaurants the steaks were tough and overcooked, but the children didn't complain (too much).

The clincher for us trying Sage was their 40% off food prices between 5pm-6:30pm (all the surround restaurants have the same deal) - get there and order before 6:30pm and you're good. I wouldn't be happy paying full price but was more than satisfied with our family meal at 60%.

Obviously do check your bill, as ours came out initially at full price - I'd actually suspected it would (sad I know), but it was corrected with no fuss. Service was attentive and quick; my wife and I were happy with Sage overall and would go back at 40%-off rates.

Thai beef salad was v nice. However ordered sirloin medium rare, but it came out well done. Not 2 bad, but nothing great either.

Went to Sage after walking by it a few times, the restaurant is always packed for dinner, I originally thought the menu prices were a bit steep but once you see the portion sizes it's completely worth it. Service was good too, we'll be back.

Fine food, well presented and service with a smile. They are definitely one of the best on the Gold Coast accepting Bartercard for payment.

The restaurant is around the corner a little from the main strip of broadbeach, but the dining area remains very noisy and cramped. Service was fine without being spectacular, and struggled to get attention at times. The wine list was disappointing. However, I had a steak which was fantastic! My friends had an uninspiring pasta special, and a duck that was pretty good. Overall, not a bad experience, with prices that are in keeping with the rest of the Gold Coast, but would be expensive elsewhere.

Eat before 6 and the meal is half price, great value! not the best food I've ever eaten but certainly good enough to eat (my standards are pretty high coming from a family who has owned many award winning restaurants) 3 adults and 1 child ate entree dinner and dessert incl drinks (beers,vodka and ports!) for around $75.00 not bad especially when watching your pennies on a mega themepark holiday!

Service was great and extra attention was given to make sure children were entertained and happy both on our table and those around us, which always makes for an enjoyable evening.

Very ordinary food and service not much better, agree with other reviewer re duck dried out and tough. Bangalow pork was overcooked and dry (no mean feat as they injected with oil and flavouring) ignore all the awards from previous years they are not relevant now.

Really fast service and high quality food. Their menu was quite varied and contained a lot of interesting dishes. The only downside is that it's placed in the middle of a number of other restaurants. This creates a lot of noise and a lot of through traffic for the people sitting on the outside tables... If only the restaurant was placed in a quieter area it would be perfect.

Very Very Averge Food, great service, were great with the kids, however, my confit of duck was dry, the calamari had a greek salad with "bulgarian fetta " which maybe an acquired taste. However, it nearly made me sick.
