Went here while on holidays in Queensland and could not have picked a better restaurant to dine at. They had a special on at the time 3 courses for $65.

I started with the king prawn risotto and my partner had the seared scallops and we both absolutely loved our entrees. We both had the lamb for a main and the rolled shoulder melted in your mouth as it should and the rack and loin were cooked to perfection.

Dessert I had the affogato which was beautiful and my partners had the pannacotta which was silky and delicious.

The staff were lovely and the mood in the restaurant was very pleasant and easy going with customers discussing their meals between tables. The only conplaint I have is the pricing of the wine menu.

Will be going back when I am up there again.

One of our last meals out on the Gold coast before we head back home to Sydney and I have to say I wish we had found this place sooner to be able to visit again!

The food was amazing really fresh tasty with a little touch of Molecular Gastromomy with the in clusion of Caviaroli (Spanish EVOO caviar balls) scattered amongst the prawn starter with a dressing of avocado foam! The service from our waiter was great and he has very attentive. The mains were delicious! We finished with a gourmet cheese board which was lovely and fresh the cheeses were at their perfect.

All this amazing food and wait for it all for only $65.00 per head! We will definitely be a regular here when visiting the Gold Coast! well done guys you rock!

Fantastic restaurant with beautiful food, attentive service and great ambience. This restaurant is a true gem. I had the degustation and the food was mouth watering good. It was cooked to perfection and the serving sizes much more generous than your average degust. Wish this restaurant was in Sydney because it's definitely on par, if not better than some of Sydney's finest.

Walked in around 3 pm so at the end of Lunchtime service. Very warm welcome and explain we only wanted tapas style nibbles and a drink. The waiter was willing to assist and create small dishes off menu. The oyster were fresh and firm. The champers went down very easily in a very professional casual environment.
Now we have moved up here, we'll go again in an evening and give a more informative review. First impressions, excellent.

This place was one of our choices whilst on holiday in the Gold Coast. After reading rave reviews and seeing a good looking menu we could not wait. The place is a little bland inside, but does the job. Although our dinner was good overall it was just nothing spectacular. To start with they were out of about 3-4 of the more popular dishes which made it a little harder to choose. The lamb as the main was the highlight. Food overall was a little pricey for what we got.

This gorgeous restaurant in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast is sure to impress even the most sophisticated diner. My friends and I had the 7 course degustation menu with matching wines and couldn't fault anything that came to our table. All the dishes were exceptional, delicious and bursting with flavour. The service was also everything we expected and the staff very knowledgeable about the food and wine on offer. Easily my favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast.

Visited Broadbeach in Feb '10. I consider Broadbeach to have some of the best affordable eateries in the country. Rock Salt did not let the area down, as far as the food content. It is good to dine where the chef prepares very good quality meals.

The food was fresh and well presented. However, I must admit the waiter we had left a lot to be desired. It is sad when the waiter appears to give the impression that he is the centre of attention, and as a result does not treat the patrons as I am sure the chef/owner would expect. I have read with interest where others have rated the service very high. As a result my wife and I will make a visit to Gold Coast and give Rock Salt another try. Maybe, we just got him on a bad night. I always give a good restaurant a second chance.

This was a fantastic dining experience. Food was excellent as was the service. Whilst the bill was over $200 for 2 people it was worth it.

We came here for dinner after some disappointing experiences on the Gold Coast. What a lovely restaurant this is. The space is soothing and relaxing and the service is fabulous. Our meal only came to $100 for two people plus drinks which is outstanding value. Am so glad there are places like this around. Great for a romantic or quiet night out.
