This is hands down the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. My bf and I ate here while on holiday as it looked busy and seemed like a nice place to eat. We waited 1 hour for our food, the staff seemed lazy and didn't have any sense of urgency even though it was extremely busy. When the food came out it looked very good but, unfortunately, the pancakes were cold.

Looking around the restaurant everyone else who ordered was also waiting impatiently. We also spoke to someone who ordered the unlimited pancakes special only it was limited....to 4 pancakes.

Don't bother -understaffed, badly presented staff, some sort of uniform would be able to tell who were staff, had to seat ourselves, buy one get one free meal specials were not explained and we ended up paying twice the amount we budgeted for. We had to order at the counter ourselves for drinks and food as no one came to see if we wanted to order anything. So much for table service. A man fell over in the restaurant and no staff went to his aid.

Was there start of september 2011 and ordered the belgian waffles with ice cream, cream and strawberries, only thing that was appetising was the strawberries. Waffles were heavy not light and fluffy and tasted like the ingredients had been shoved together and into a waffle iron. Portion was extremely small which was even more disappointing as the price was quite high. Service lacked as they barely said a word, were not friendly and to make payments was a pain as they would only take payment for the entire table instead of every other place that just lets people pay for only what they ordered.

I broke the golden rule and I paid for it. Never order savoury in a pancake house! Our main was terrible but the pancake desserts were awesome especially with free-flowing maple syrup at the table. It was only maple flavoured syrup though.

Was there for breakfast on Sat, 7th May. Were seated quickly and orders taken quickly as well. You have to try the Eggs Benedict! You may not eat again til late in the afternoon as it is so rich and filling, but it is fantastic! Food was served very quickly, drinks were slow tho, we had to remind them when we were half way thru our breakfast. Would definitely go there for a breakfast again!

Mar 2011, Sunday lunchtime and had been so looking forward to checking this place out. Restaurant was half full but most people seemed to have finished/were close to leaving. Took 45 minutes for food to arrive.

I had Mexican taco crepe and husband had classic american stack of pancakes.
My mexican taco crepe contained nothing but kidney beans in runny gravy. Salsa was a runny mush. Totally soggy and totally inedible. Side salad ok but would be nice if menu mentioned that it was coated in a dressing as I would have ordered it without dressing or asked what type it was.

Husbands 'traditional american stack' was clearly reheated prepacked muck. Difficult to cut as outside was too rubbery and inside was just mushy.
Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even my worse enemy.

Despite my better judgement my boyfriend and I decided to stay after the waiters had an argument about who was going to seat us. We were seated about 10 minutes later. I'm not sure if we were forgotten or just being ignored but it took another 35 minutes until our order was actually taken.

The staff are plain rude there and look miserable. When the food finally arrived it was literally thrown onto the table with something I would call a grunt and was hardly worth the wait. Would not recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of better options in the Gold Coast, don't waste your time with this place.

The potato crepe was delicious but the accompanying salad was not fresh and pre-mixed coke was tasteless. The restaurant is interestingly decorated with hot air balloon figures over the tables but it was rather cheap decor and felt somewhat depressing to be in.

Service was disgraceful. Not a friendly environment. Pancakes were average. Would not go back!
