Great setting and view. Nice decor also (once you get past the front of the building and the foyer). Good but casual service. The Oskar prawns are nice. Snappper was excellent. Decent wine list. About $110 per head. We shared a few desserts between us also.

We went their for my husbands birthday and totally dissapointed by the service. We are GC locals and have been to Oskars over half a dozen times and its has really gone down hill. It is over priced and the only attracyion is the view. Will not be going back and would not recommend it .

It wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be. I went there with my partner for my birthday. I expected all good things but it was a let down. The service was bad, food was slow, and the main meal was a let down. There was no apology from any of the waiters on our food delays. We waited an hour 20 minutes between our entree and main! it was very disappointing and, unfortunately, won't go back. The only good thing was the amazing ocean view.

Amazing food with spectacular ocean views! Can't complain! Highly recommend the zucchini flowers and the rack of lamb. Also the souffle is superb. Love the pink stilleto cocktails as well. Have eaten here over 10 times and never had a bad meal. The location is superb and worth every cent!

My husband and I were really disappointed. I had the duck, which was dry and the roasted quince had large pieces of hard seed, the kitchen staff had failed to properly remove. My husband had the whiting, which had several scales. It was very over priced given the poor quality and lack of attention to detail. The staff were the one saving grace.

We have visited Oskar's twice now when we have been in town and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. We have had 1 lunch and 1 dinner and both times the food was excellent. The ambience is stunning, such a beautiful spot on the water! If it's a nice day/night definitely request a table outside overlooking the water. Both times we have visited haven't been overly busy and as a result the service has been very attentive. The food is on the pricey side but the restaurant does warrant this. Definitely recommend you try.

Been here several times for special occasions. Lovely setting winter lunch or summer evening as sunsets. Coconut crusted deep fried prawns and lime calamari are to die for. Service can be casual but view wonderful.

Booked for dinner via their website. Arrived late on the GC but rang before booking time to advise we would be running a few minutes late. Thought the waiter on the phone was a bit terse telling us that the kitchen would be closing shortly (it was only 8 pm). Rushed to get there (8.10), was a bit worried they would try to rush our meal but once we had arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Nice table inside near the windows. Service was very attentive and wait staff appeared to have a good knowledge of menu and wine list.
Lovely menu, lots of nice selections and several dishes looked really enticing. Wagyu beef, fish, chicken etc. Settled on the natural oysters with sorbet (of basil and coriander) for starter, really unusual and very tasty. The sweet cold sorbet was so different but was a nice contrast to the creamy oysters. Rack of Lamb on sweet potato mash followed. Sauce was just a little salty but very rich. Side of green beans crisp and fresh. My partners meals were equally enjoyable. Didn't really have room but couldn't resist the beautiful desserts. I had a dark chocolate tart with orange jelly.. yummmmmm......
