Went there last Sat night looking for some takeaway. The lady behind the counter advised she was 'far too busy' to take our order and asked us to take a seat and she would 'let us know' when we can order. Needless to say we walked out.

I wish I had read the reviews before eating at this place. Food was very ordinary. Spring rolls oily and cold, oiliest "special" fried rice I have ever eaten. Portions were small and I was still hungry but didn't dare order more. And the price... Forget it! I strongly advise taking a punt somewhere else.

My wife and I had dinner twice at Legends while on holiday in the Gold Coast. The first is a little hit and miss, satay beef is fantastic, but other dishes we had on our second visit were very ordinary, and definitely not worth the price tags.

Unfortunately the service in the restaurant really lets all other areas down. My wife and I waited nearly one and a half hours for our food to arrive, after asking several staff members to check up on it. At the risk of stepping on politically correct toes, the restaurant caters for a large Chinese community in the area. More insulting than poor service, was that the local customers were attended to quickly and with great care, meals arrived within a reasonable 20 minutes, while visiting tourists waiting over an hour. We saw this pattern on both visits to the restaurant, content locals enjoying meals while visitors throughout the restaurant sat impatiently checking their watches; it was really a slap in the face.

It's a real shame, as while the food is not exquisite, customer service goes a long way, and if the same care were extended to every customer, this could really be a gem of a restaurant.

This restaurant was terrible. No one came to take our order, and we had to call numerous times for a waiter. We waited over an hour for any food to appear on the table. When they did, we realised that the portions were tiny and certainly not worth the price tag. A few dishes looked and tasted like they came out of a can and was just dumped onto a plate. Our tea was not refilled unless we called for them, and we found that it was more convenient to just refill our teapot ourselves.

When we finally finished our meal we asked for our bill, and had to wait another half an hour with much frustration and constant pestering. Will definitely not go again and will not recommend to anyone. There are better Chinese takeaways.
