The food was very average. Nothing stood out as enjoyable and was not much different to what we would cook at home. The special entree was unavailable after being offered (and ordered) with the excuse that they had run out but it was 7:30 pm and there was only 2 other tables occupied.
The meals are way over priced for what they are. Ambience - between the tween child and the guy in T shirt, shorts and thongs...pretty ordinary. When it came to giving us the bill they forgot to add the wine, the most expensive part of the night! All in all very oridnary and we won't be going back. Highly unrecommended, save your money and try somewhere else.

Went to Lauxes for dinner two nights ago with my wife and a couple of friends, and I have to say I was so impressed. Our waitress was great, friends and happy. The food was sensational, we had some of oysters for entree, between us we had duck, lamb and fish and it was so good. The live entertainment was something we hadn't seen in some time. Great job. Well worth it.

Lauxes came to our rescue at the very last minute after being treated horribly across the road at Room 81 when setting up for a relative's birthday celebration. Michael was very understanding, found us a table, ensure we had a great evening and even served our cake, all with an hours notice.
Food was spectacular and we had a great night despite feeling so let down just hours before. Would highly recommend Lauxes for both its food And its service!

The food was lovely. The service staff were inexperienced for such a high priced establishment. The waitress was like a hare caught in the headlights. No idea what she was doing and a limited grasp on English, however, when she made mistakes with our meal orders that was of course Our fault. The senior staff who we hoped would redeem the situation thought he was just too cool for school, however, we are neither at school and he is far from very cool.
The eye rolling and sarcasm is particularly unprofessional, however, we had a good laugh about how some people run a restaurant on the GC. Only go there if you like expensive food and wine served to you by haughty up themselves wannabes.

I’ve eaten at Lauxes on a number of occasions and always found both the service and the food being of a very high standard.

We were very excited about visiting this particular venue and were really disappointed about the food, the service and the prices. I don't mind paying top prices if the food is wonderful, but, unfortunately, it wasn't. When we arrived we met our friends at the bar and had a drink before seating. As soon as we sat down (no exaggeration) we were handed a menu, which we had to share between four of us and were asked to order!
While we quickly ordered, the senior staff (who was taking our orders) continued counting the money in the till (it was 6.30 pm) and hardly looked up at us let alone smile! My girlfriend ordered a prawn pasta dish and there were 3 prawns in it! I ordered the garlic prawns which came out luke warm and I was sick for 2 days!
Would not recommend this restaraunt at all! So sad as it's in a fantastic position!

Food and beverage menu is slightly below-average in size and is ridiculously over-priced. Service is slow, staff are slightly on the rude-side, like something you would expect in a bad nightclub. However, premises possess a beautiful display of glass sculptures and exquisite lighting effects. Premises is climate controlled. Overall rating 4/10.

My friends and I were some of the lucky few who attended the Lauxes' Melbourne Cup function on Cup Day. What a wonderful day was enjoyed by all! The atmosphere was buzzing, with everyone elegantly dressed for the occasion and enjoying the unique Lauxes ambience.
The service was friendly and fast and a steady flow of drinks flowed all day. The fashion parade showcased the best from Broadbeach boutiques and was fabulous. My congratulations to Jo Jo and her dedicated team for a job well done. My only disappointment is Lauxes will not be open for Christmas Day lunch but fingers crossed they will be for NYE as we will definitely be there to celebrate!

The ambience is beautiful. Lauxes is situated in a modern building facing a park. Our Sunday lunch however was very disappointing. The staff were spaced out and it took ages to attract their attention for our first drink. The table setting is exquisite with fine china and glasses. The meal was not of a high standard and represented very poor value for money. Service and the quality of food would need to improve before I returned.

My partner and I dined at the exquisite restaurant on the 080808, everything was perfect, the food, the wine, the atmosphere. We started our night with an entree of beef and scallops which were both delicious, the service was quick and the waitress was most attentive.
For our mains I decided to go with the Garlic Prawns and my partner the Roast Duck both meals presented beautifully and tasted amazing, at this point our bellies were getting full but not before trying the chefs special French vanilla creme brulee'......with a surprise proposal!!!!! which I guess was the sweetest part of the night.
Overall although I look through rose coloured glasses I think this restaurant is worth more than a look. Thank you to the staff who made our night flawless.
