Had dinner here with our 4 kids. The staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Koi offer kids meals which our kids devoured in no time. They had kids size Tempura Barramundi and chips and a mini Fillet steak and chips. We started off with the Thai style oysters which were amazing. I had a rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and hubby had the fish of the day. My meals were washed down with a couple of glasses of the Peppertree Merlot.

Sadly there was no room for dessert which I regret. Koi is an inviting, modern and very trendy restaurant and worth every penny. We ate out every night during our stay on the Gold Coast and Koi would have to be our favourite restaurant.

We have been up to Gold Coast a number of times and eaten at a fair few restaurants. We came in here as a group of 8, and from start to finish service was casual but perfect!

The food could not be faulted and drinks were just as good. For some good modern food this is the place to go. I had the Thai and Kilpatrick Oysters, as well as the Barramundi finished with the dessert plate. All was great.

Prices are not too bad considering its location. Overall a great experience that none of us could fault.

Came here for dessert on a Sunday at about 8:45 pm after a dodgy meal at another local restaurant. The friendly bar staff lifted our spirits and recommend delicious wine and dessert which came out quickly and tasted great. Lovely ambience although we weren't greeted by a hostess and were happy to pay the higher prices for the experience.

We did walk past this place the day before on the Saturday and were keen to give it a go as it was so packed, although we shied away from the prices. Will definitely try this place next time for dinner.

My new fav restaurant! I've been to Koi many times over the years and have always had a great meal. I recently had a large booking of over 20 people, and the feedback was great- everyone said their meals were perfect, which was pretty amazing considering we had many steaks cooked at different levels, etc and all meals came out at once! Could not fault anything except a little wait on the table to start with, but we were given complementary bread. Awesome food, awesome feel. Will be back!

We have just moved to GC from Sydney and it is great to have so many places to eat, but the prices here are more expensive than Sydney! The food was nothing to write home about and def not worth the price!

This place is certainly the most popular in Broadbeach so had to go to see what all the hoo ha was about. The food was excellent, albeit a tad pricey, service nice and friendly to start, then seemed to dry up to a stage where we had dirty dishes sitting on our table for a good 20-30 minutes. We did want coffee/dessert after but after waiting so long decided to go down the road for gelato instead.

Got a table within 15min without reservation at this busy and modern restaurant. Staff got everything right but were so busy you didn't get much attention without asking for it.

Fettucine boscaiola entree was lovely, cooked perfect and tasted the same. We had a veal dish which I can't see on their menu now (it may have been a special) it was fantastic as well. My partner ordered a pan seared chicken breast which was average, but the other dishes made up for this. The place was a bit expensive, but one of the nicer in the area I've tried.

Went here as I was on holiday in Broadbeach, and gave Koi a go as it always seems busy and lively. What a great choice as the food was fantastic as I had the spinach tortellini which was fresh and delicious. A must to go if in Gold Coast.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants and we often told people "we've never had a bad meal at Koi". Unfortunately, this wasn't the case with our latest meal. The scallops starter on previous occasions had been delicious and well worth the $22.90. This time, the scallops were about a third of the size and very average. A lot of bulking out with rocket and red onion.

The main was awful. My partner and myself both ordered the NZ sole from the special list. When it arrived, they were both cold and bleeding from the head end-completely raw. We were unable to cut through the flesh, let alone remove it from the bone. We had to send it back and 15 minutes later, it was returned with the following comments. "The chef is unwilling to cook the fish any longer as it will become dry and ruined" Therefore, implying the fish was cooked correctly in the first place and it was us that was being fussy. At no stage did we receive an apology.

Now, it is my understanding that the customer is always right and if we want a dry and ruined fish its our choice. However, I know how a fish should be cooked. The top side of the sole was now cooked but when the fish was turned over, I could not eat the underside. The texture was mushy, not flaky and the flavour was watery. Inedible and a very rude way to present a dish that had to be sent back to the kitchen for being raw.

We will not be returning to Koi which is a great shame as it used to be a very good restaurant. It feels like the personal service has gone and the emphasis is now on making money.

Had Breakfast with a group of five. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant wasn't overly busy but was around half full. The coffees came out quickly and were all quite good, no complaints at all around the table.

The meals quickly followed. I had the braised beef mince on toast with poached eggs. It was a very good sized portion, not too big or small. The mince was tasty and the eggs were cooked well for my liking (a little runny). All of the other meals looked good, the eggs benedict looked rather good as well as the breakfast bruschetta.

Would definitely go back for a meal again. The place livens up a night and is a great place to go for pre-drinks. Overall a good experience.
