Chips were barely cooked, salad was just lettuce and the kids meal didn't even fill up my 11year old. Told them how I was feeling and they didn't seemed bothered by it. I've been coming to surfers for 18 years now, wouldn't be surprise if this place doesn't lasted like some of them. Don't waste your money!

Enjoyed a great meal here, nice atmosphere, not to busy, but very lively, food was great and priced even better, really enjoyed the live music, definitively will be going back!

Poor service, misleading menu. We had to wait for 15 minutes for a waitress to clean a pile of dirty plates and glasses on our table. (Heaps of food left, looked like previous diners didn't enjoy their meals). The waiting staff are friendly but totally not organised. You need to call them twice to clean the table for you, call them twice to take your order. Then a huge wait for you meals to arrive: 50 minutes.
My husband's rump steak tasted ok, but it was rather small. My daughter's Irish stew (from kids' menu) tasted like stew on beer, a rather surprising option for children. But the biggest surprise was my pie: it's not a pie at all. You get a small serving of Irish stew in a custard bowl, covered with some fluffy pastry lid! Don't get me wrong, no pastry at the bottom or sides of the bowl. If the wind blows, that lid will just fly away.
A mountain of chips and some flavourless greens called salad. I requested to talk to the senior staff, stating that this is not a pie but a tiny portion of stew. He kept insisting that this was how they make a pie. He explained that if they wanted to make a real pie, it would take too long. Ridiculous, as we had already waited for 50 minutes. If you are not able to make a pie, you shouldn't have it on your menu. A waste of time (I refused to eat this Irish stew in a custard bowl).

Greatest pub ever. It is going to become an annual trip.

We enjoyed our Guinness and lunch here (I had the pie). Service was friendly and it wasn't too busy as we were there in the afternoon between lunch and dinner. It's quite nice inside - especially if you like to get away from the bustle of Cavill avenue for a little while!
