Really enjoyed the food. Bit overpriced but we were in 'resort'. We wanted to go for the teppanyaki but were told it was booked out. When we arrived there was only half a table operating so I suspect it was more of a staffing issue. All in all, the sashimi etc was very fresh and they were accommodating of the kids.

Hatsuhana teppanyaki is a really worthwhile experience. The staff are friendly and attentive while the attending chefs show real skill and passion for their work.

Having sampled many Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast, this is easily on the top of the heap.

I recommend the small teppanyaki menu with some extra dishes from the fusion menu. Also be sure to keep the house saki flowing at 40 degrees C!
