Had a great meal here last week. If you're not sure what to order just ask the owner for his recommendation and you won't be disappointed. Hard to single out any one item as they were all great. Will definitely be back for more.

Awesome Curry. Lots of Authentic flavours. Service is very, very good. Their biryani is very tasty, the butter chicken is to die for, naans are unbelievably soft and my favourite is the spinach and lamb. My wife and I love Indian food and since we have moved to the coast we have struggled to find a good restaurant up until now. My mouth is watering just typing this up. I'm having the Malai Kofta and the Xacuti (not sure how you pronounce it) the next time.

Extremely happy with the food. Its the real indian food that I ever had in QLD. Only drawback is the service. Was not really happy with it as I had asked to pack the left over curry as I had ordered too much and was not able to have it there and they handed me a container and asked me to fill it myself which i felt was extremely rude.

We have eaten as a group at Ashiana several times and always enjoy going back. Always looked after well by manager and staff. Our group normally shares plates in the middle and everyone agrees its been a good night at a very fair price. We go for mild spices to keep everyone in the group happy. Ask the manager for his recommendations on the night. On site underground parking is convenient.

Pricey place for what they serve. Clean kitchen and efficient service. They advertise hyderabadi dum biryani on the menu but what they really serve is chicken curry mixed in short grain rice. Portion size are really small.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Must give 2 big thumbs up to our waiters they were great both funny and on the ball. Wish we had a Garlands back home.

We had the worst evening possible to uncontrolled screaming children, 3 children under 3 screamed all night, plus a really rude waiter made our night hell, he queried mustard and salt and obviously did not understand butterflied steak.

Waitress was friendly enough but service incredibly slow, took 15 minutes to get drinks, asked especially for kids food to come first yet arrived after mains, 3 of mains were wrong, one main sent back twice, plates never cleared even when kids dessert was being served, which we had to ask for, the senior staff came to apologize and blamed it on the kitchen (bad form), all in all a very disappointing experience given the prices.

We knew this was a little more expensive than similar style restaurants so waited for a special occasion to try it out. Disappointing. I had a half rack of pork ribs ($31) and fries. I was given a very stingy serve of fries. Hubby had full rack of beef ribs and fries. My teen had a burger (which she loved) and my 6 year old had the kids meal with a burger, which was served with more chips than my rib meal. The kids enjoyed their meals.

The ribs were average, we've had much better. We had a drink spill at our table which I apologised to the waitress for, to which she said, "That's okay" but then did nothing about it. As we had no napkins, it sat there until the next time she wandered past and I asked for it to be wiped. So two ribs, a burger, a kids meal, 3 soft drinks and one cocktail was over $120. Probably won't go back.

Don't Bother! This restaurant used to have fantastic food and lovely management, we were frequent customers. Sadly that has changed for the worse.

We booked a birthday dinner and our night was spoiled by the terrible food, which was tasteless and took 90 minutes to arrive at our table, terrible service, slow, unfriendly staff, who completed the credit card transaction at our table (how rude) and took forever to take our orders, and the other staff - who forgot 2 meals and they said the kitchen was small, that's why things were taking so long. Totally unbelievable! There were only about 15 people in the restaurant!

At the end of the night, the only compensation made was not charging for a meal that was forgotten (I should think so!) and giving us 2 bottles of water free of charge, how pathetic. The management did not even come to apologise and tried to ignore us as we left.

The Birthday dinner was a total disaster, our night was ruined and I was embarrassed for inviting everyone there. After one of our party contacted the management about our poor experience, he was given a short sharp reply that was a personal attack, rather than an apology or explanation. Clearly the management have no concern about the quality or reputation of their restaurant.

We will never go back there again, and I urge any potential customers to stay away. If you want good food and exceptional service, go somewhere else at Sanctuary Cove.

Sofitel advertised Bistro on 3 uses quality local produce and innovative menu. We got vennamei prawns, oysters which are hardly fresh (my husband nearly threw up when he put a vile oyster in his mouth), fried calamari, dried-out barra slices. They call mongolian beef, steamed vegies, cajun chicken pieces, roast lamb, miso soup innovative?

The pasta on offer was just boiled penne with an unexciting blob of tomato sauce next to it which no one touched. The cheeses and fruit on offer were meagre. The only saving grace were the desserts. For the price they charge, which is the most expensive buffet in the gold coast, I had a right to expect more. Get your act together, Sofitel.

Not worth the effort. I wouldn't say the menu was a creative one and the server had no idea. It needs a lot of work before it can live up to the 'self proclaimed' descriptions I have read!

Hidden gem! Dinky location but the best steak and ribs I've had in a very long time. The ribs especially,and best of all the bill didn't wipe me out!

I too bought a voucher through Groupon for a meal deal for 4 and we were excited about going there as looked forward to the european dishes. Disappointing to say the least was our experience. We were forgotten as we sat outside (there is only about 6 tables in the whole place, 3 of which are outside) and we announced when we arrived we would sit outside.

We were basically the only people eating there. I was told when I went back inside after waiting awhile to ask if we could order now "Oh sorry, outta sight outta mind". Really? After starting to order, pretty much everything we wanted wasn't available. No stuffed cabbage rolls, no stuffed capiscums, no crocodile, no scollopini marsala pasta, no garlic prawns, only one serving of meatball spaghetti left etc which really left very little else to choose from and odd excuses as to why nothing was available.

It was a frustrating experience to order anything. Why have it on the permanant menu if its not made everyday? My mother had her pasta dish slopped all over white trousers when it was served to her. Very little apology. The meals were served higgledypiggledy, no particular order and a couple of the pizza's weren't what we ordered as well as one of the pasta's.

The goulash which pretty much was all that was available of their signiture dishes was like a bolognaise sauce with tiny chunks of meat in it and served with spaghetti. Never had such an awful goulash. They had their opportunity to impress new diners to their little establishment but, unfortunately, for them we won't bother going there again.

I also would never recommend anyone going there unless you're happy with very average food, a menu that which seems to be pot luck if what is advertised on it is actually available and dreadful service.

Response from Management:
A number of errors by this person. There were 10 people sharing meals for 8 people. The restaurant had 37 diners at the same time as this group and they were most definitely not the only ones there. We didn’t know this group were outside because they forgot to tell anyone. We thought they had left. There are 8 large tables and 37 chairs. All meals were available for them except crocodile and chicken breasts. The mother did not have a past dish slopped all over here, but she did have some sauce spill off the plate as it was handed to her because she moved and bumped the waiter. The group ordered 4 pizzas, four pasta dishes and two European meals and they ATE THE LOT. This shows they were all desperately hungry at the same time or that they simply enjoyed every morsel. They had a choice of 37 pasta dishes and 32 pizzas. Only two items were not available. No doubt this post was made by a competitor restaurant...well here is some news dearie, the quality of our food can’t be matched and if you need to resort to gutter tactics to win business away from us, you wont last long.
