We usually dine next door, however, decided on this place for a change. Lil Neecy was not disappointed with her snapper selection (juicy, tasty and cooked to perfection) while I, however, was left underwhelmed with the Bug meal I chose which I found to be small (not very meaty) and without any sweetness in flavour you expect in high quality bugs.

Service was attentive and we enjoyed the atmosphere sitting by the doorside on a balmy sunday evening. More expensive than its next door neighbour but nowhere as noisy and rushed. Will return.

Had dinner with a group of four at this restaurant on a busy saturday night. We made a booking for 7.30 pm and was thirty minutes late. Whoops? on arriving the friendly waiter (Ben) was fantastic, he found us a table straight away and took our drinks order.

Oysters and garlic breads were for entree, the oysters were fresh and very tasty!
We ordered three Neptune platters for mains, which were fantastic! Grilled Moreton bay bugs, marinated baby octopus, cooked king prawns, marinated cuttlefish and succulant sea scallops. It was presented well on a bed of rice and surrounded by fresh salad.

The meal was enjoyed by all, the mains took a little long. But with good service by our waiter you don't seem to mind so much. Great night, plenty of food and drink. Will go back for another great experience.

Although not the most modern place in the area, certainly glad we ate here. Great staff and a fantastic seafood platter!

Greeted by a friendly waiter and seated straight away without reservations. My partner ordered the barramundi, but was informed by the waiter that at the time of year it was being brought in frozen and suggested she have the snapper instead as it was fresh. She was hesitant so he even offered if she didn't enjoy the meal we would not have to pay for it. I ordered the seafood platter for one without hesitation.

Food arrived in a timely manner and the snapper was loved. The seafood platter is one of the best I've had with great tasting seafood inc prawns, occy, balmain bugs, fish, calamari, etc and for what I could only call a cheap price for that type of seafood. We will definitely make sure we go back here again.

My partner states he had the best steak diane ever! I had the steak mezze and it was pretty ordinary. We BYO'd which was good as the wine list could be better. Service is excellent.

After having read the reviews on this site, I thought we were in for a great night. Quite the contrary! The seafood is ordinary at best and the steak was well undercooked, even to the point where when we complained and the meal returned, it had been microwaved and the steak was still rarer than ordered. Average wine list, good service, poor food.

This was our best dining experience yet! The Bar staff were excellent, the waitresses and waiters were attentive to us and overall our meals were hearty and delicious.

Me and my friends always make an effort to visit every time we come to Australia. We were overwhelmed with the hospitality they all showed us. We were celebrating a birthday and made sure our night was extra special. They even gave all 14 of us a glass of part to celebrate for free.

The service seems to be better at the Gold Coast. Nothing is too much trouble. Make sure you're hungry, the steak is huge and very tender. We were also given a free glass of port.
