Magnifique!!! This restaurant is located in a quiet and charming waterfront location in the European establishment on the gold coast. Great, friendly, honest and affordable non-pretentious French food in a family friendly atmosphere. The rack of lamb and escargot are divine! Staff are knowledgable and chatty, really know their stuff! Regular diner for work and play.

Food: varied. Desserts - not a big variety but they tasted great. Veal - very old "vealer" and over cooked. Liver - also over cooked. Potato bake - tasteless (it's a long time since they saw dirt). Snails: too much oil, not enough garlic. Business principles: doubtful. When we queried the bill as we felt we were overcharged, they increased the amount! Summary: Don't bother, there are lots of better restaurants on the Gold Coast!

Very busy restaurant, so many people there every night has got to tell you something! Delicious food, biggest problem is too much choice. The pate is amazing, and for my main, the roast pork was enormous and with more crackling than I could eat. Left very satisfied and more than impressed. Would definitely go back, probably sooner rather than later.

Lovely to see a Gold Coast restaurant thriving, full and busy on a Saturday night when so many others are closing down. Can't really complain about being too loud or busy when that is the case. Staff were more than happy to accommodate us when we added an extra seat to our reservation unexpectedly.
Food lovely as usual, went home more than satisfied, actually thankful for the wait between courses!

I've had better food at a Surf Club or local pub. I was very surprised that a supposed fine dining French restaurants would serve hot chips and pre-made desserts like you would find at the Coffee club.
The food really wasn't worth the price they asked for, if you want to experience Real French food, I would suggest you go to La Porte Verte in Robina, which offers a same priced menu and actually has a French chef cooking, not some apprentices serving you "pepper steak" made with Gravox and water. I would never go to the Garlic Clove again and they should be embarrassed to charge $50 for a mediocre 3 course meal!

Did you know that Garlic Clove's cappuccino mug has only One shot of coffee? So its just a cup strength coffee filled up with milk and froth. Absolutely revolting for a saturday morning brekki coffee. Was a grey colour, and the coffee was burnt too! Apparently this has been addressed to management but they persist. Had the mushrooms on toast and have been queasy all day. Yuk! I have given this restaurant the benefit of the doubt once too often now! Never again.

Try the fried Camembert with a very interesting sauce and the pork which was excellent. The atmosphere at emerald lakes is very nice and the staff and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the management were not very accommodating and seem to have lost sight on who the customer is in the service business.

My company have our monthly meetings here and we would not go anywhere else! The food, service and value for money are second to none. The room is lovely and fully equipped for corporate functions and the views are spectacular. Very classy. Highly recommended.

Garlic Clove is such a great experience. they really do provide great food and service for value for money. All the portions are really great, and you get looked after from all the staff. The view is amazing looking over the lake and at Surfers Paradise. A great move from Pappas Way to Emerald Lakes. Great job Garlic Clove, keep up the great work.

Gold Coast is lacking in good French cuisine and Garlic Clove does not help this reputation. It used to be located in Nerang and they had much better food back then. Snails were perfectly done in garlic butter, duck was deliciously crispy and creme brulee, though average, was a nice way to end the night. Ever since moving to Emerald Lakes, the place has gotten bigger, food more bland, and price more expensive. We ordered snails and they strangely tasted like sausages from woolworths (has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?). The roast pork was nothing short of your average roast dinner down at the local carvery (that plus raw in the middle) Dessert was banana crepe, crepe was too thick so you just feel like eating pieces of dough. On a good note, staff were so attentive and friendly. Quick service and very nice view (we got a window seat looking out on the lake).
