Just got home from a shocking night at Dracula" Gold Coast. Whilst the night started out with full expectation of a good fun night went quickly down hill when the show started. Won't be going back in a hurry. Food average, service awful and show quality poor. Nothing to do with Dracula theme at all. Just poor attempts of comedy skits pasted together.

The food was disgusting! Cheap, nasty, luke-warm, rushed, scary-to-eat food. Every person in my party got a different dish - No one liked the food. It was gross, and it all smelt the same. There were no redeeming qualities regarding the food. The waiters were nice. The performance was funny in parts.. lame in others (school production-ish). The white chocolate cocktail was delicious! However, I would never want to endure the food again.

I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews! I went there just a few nights ago and I must say I was quite impressed! The food was nothing spectacular - but this wasn't some 5 star restaurant where I was expecting it to be fantastic. Its like food you'd get at a bar.
The whole skit was above average. Yes they use old jokes, but hey! it works. Some parts were a little boring but they had to cover all the generations sitting in the room so fair go.
The ambience was good, everyone was cheering, happy all over. The staff were amazing! they were all funny, helpful, and although forgetful when I asked for a glass of water twice - it came in the end when you ask the right person!
I paid for the VIP and it was 115. I found it worth its value at the end since I was there for about 4 to 5 hours. I'd go again, sometime next year maybe.
PS. on the way back to the hotel, the taxi driver was telling us how he had a chef from draculas once who was saying how the kitchen is the cleanest he's been in!

I read reviews and they were rather negative, so I was a bit apprehensive when went to Draculas last night. However, I was pleasantly surprised, the food was really nice and I thought the three course meal was sufficient. The staff and performers were fantastic and the band was great. The whole show was really entertaining, and I thought the drinks were no more expensive than most other venues. A great night out!

A total fleecing operation, made to feel bad if you don't buy everything that's thrown at you. The food was average and the show was shockingly bad, jokes recycled from the '80s, like "Hey, ever notice that women go to the bathroom together?" and "Kiwis sleep with sheep" sooooooooooo not funny, just lame, schoolyard comedy.

Always wanted to go here and ended up as part of a big corporate group last week. I was quite lucky that work had paid for me as I would be quite pissed had I have to pay that much money myself.
We all had pretty low expectations being the Gold Coast and all but the ambience of the place and the show were actually good fun, provided you can fork out money for enough of their over-prized alcoholic drinks. The show with dinner alone costs you 85 bucks and the food is just bad, really really bad the way you'd expect from a place like this.
However, the show itself turned out to be good fun as the performers could actually sing, dance and crack (mostly silly) jokes all at the same time. We watched the "Vampirates" show which, as others here have mentioned, was a very strange mix of all sorts of performances, from lame standup comedy pieces to Beatles songs and the likes.
I agree, it had not much to do with the Dracula's theming. Also, their humor was often very much below the belt making bad fun about some members of the audience over and over again. Still, we all had a good laugh and enjoyed the night but as I said before, we didn't have to pay ourselves which is a big bonus in such a heavily-priced venue.

Good nite out if you are in a group we made the mistake by going as a couple. Not bad once you've been you don't need to go again. Some things were entertaining, overall not bad.

My wife and I had wanted to go to this place for some time and finally got the chance a couple of weeks ago. The costumes were good and all the staff played great characters that were amusing. The food was ok but we were not served an entree and when we asked about it we were given them just after our main meal. It is overpriced for what you get and the drinks are expensive.
I have found Dracula's to be a bit misleading. It looks like a haunted house and when you go in the inside is also done up like a haunted house, the people are dressed up with character names and play the part as you would expect. However, we saw a show called Vampirates expecting to see a show about pirates that are vampires and it to be somewhat spooky.
But no it has nothing to do with vampires or pirates, rather a bunch of comedic skits with a few beatles songs thrown in. While entertaining, it was not what we were looking for and walked out a bit disappointed. We wanted to be scared and thrilled with acts of the supernatural but it wasn't to be.

All in all a good night out with very average food, very over priced at almost $90 a head for dinner and show, and drinks are costly, they need to be more realistic in their pricing, so it can be enjoyed by all, as we all left feeling disappointed and the alcohol is watered down or something.

I agree with the reviews that have been posted. The food is really really bad. The servings are tiny and the taste is just plain terrible. I can appreciate that it is difficult to cook a large amount of meals for a full house but I was unable to eat anything. I especially found the dessert which was a chocolate coffin with green cream inside absolutely disgusting. I was starving at the end of the night.
Whilst the show was not too bad to watch, I thought that it didn't really demonstrate value for money. Also they really tried to push you to buy merchandise which is just so incredibly annoying. Some of the waitresses were incredibly rude and should learn some customer service skills. We waited so long for our drinks and when we asked where they were we were practically told off for asking!
