I can't judge the sushi or tempura or seafood but all I can say is $28 for teriyaki chicken excluding rice is a giant rip off when it was no better than the local sushi chain. It was dry and bland and I don't know how a restaurant can justify that price. I'm sure in a group when you can divide the cost and order sushi and different things it would work out better and I've heard their other food is amazing so I would't rule it out again in a group but I'm sure there is cheaper and nicer around the goldy.

The food here is always top notch. I've eaten at many Japanese restaurants across the country is this is hands down the best I've been to. Will definitely keep coming back. The atmosphere is great, with authentic in-set tables, and the service is always, prompt, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

The service is fantastic, the staff and management are always friendly, attentive and make you feel comfortable. The atmosphere is very authentic. We've been there many times and couldn't fault the food or service in any way. If we're going out for a special dinner or need a guaranteed quality Japanese fix Donto Sapporo is the only place we will go (and we live in North Brisbane). The Sukiyaki and Chawanmushi are second to none! 2 thumbs up!

The food is very traditional and they have a big variety. Everything is fresh and nicely presented. We love to sit at one of their tatami tables and enjoy a Yebisu beer, something you cannot find so easily when going Japanese. It is not cheap but its certain to be an enjoyable dinner.
