An absolute disgrace. Service was poor, disorganized and slow. Entree took in excess of 40 minutes with a less than full venue, whenever drink were empty family member had to hail a waiter in order to get some service. Mains, now this is as bad as Gold Coast service can get (I have lived here my whole and travel the world eating at some of the best and count amongst friends some of the coasts top chefs).
Firstly the stuffed chicken breast my partners sister ordered was completely undercooked (took an hour) and was still bleeding. Fortunately, her fathers was cooked through. They offered to fix this which was fine accept they returned it 15 minutes later after the rest of the table had finished and to add insult did so with the so vegetables which were now over cooked, seriously guys it's a small effort to send it out with nice fresh veggies to offset the salmonella you served minutes earlier. Eye Fillet - Not! In some of the worst restaurant short cutting ever they served a scotch fillet and claimed it was eye fillet.
Clearly not as it was heavily marbled with fat, twice the size of eye fillet and half the thickness-disgraceful. When questioned the senior staff gave a story about how this cut was from the last piece of the fillet and hence was much larger. Well as anyone who actually eats meat knows, this is opposite to reality. I have never seen eye fillet with large veins of fat.
Once again they offered to re cook it for my partners mum. Then the senior staff returned and advised the chef proclaimed 'that is eye fillet' - something professionally they really need not have told their customers given they are the customer and if that's eye fillet look up because pigs have taken to the air!
If that was not enough 5 minutes passed and the manager returned to advise the chef was now refusing to cook another steak for my partners mother.
Aqua - disgraceful hospitality, poor service, undercooked food, misleading quality, chefs that aren't qualified to cook baked beans and not an ounce of support from management. A simple apology wasn't even forthcoming we were then made to feel like we were in the wrong and it was quite uncomfortable. In a nut shell eat anywhere other than here, any successful fast food outlet has better food and far better customer focus.

I'm going to start off my review by saying "You get what you pay for", so if you want a nice meal, then don't go here. I ordered the oysters kilpatrick, which tasted bitter and it was like the chef had poured bbq sauce over it..awful, probably the worst kilpatrick I have ever had.
My main was the salt and pepper calamari, while they were tender, they tasted bland. The salad that came with it was drenched in oil, and the chips were soggy and cold. My husband had the chicken parma, and it was like someone had dumped a can of diced tomatoes and onion over it, very average. Yes, its cheap, but I would have got more enjoyment eating McDonalds!
Service was ok, but one of the young waiters had a bit of an attitude! Hasta la vista baby, I won't be back!

Went there for lunch with my girlfriend, sunny day next to Broadwater, good service by one of waiters (I believe his name is Max), food is much better then you would expected for the price. Wine, mixed dips with breads and lunch for two for under $80 next to the water is good for me.

We (4 adults 1 child) went here for breakfast on the 14th of Jan and found the service by the female waitress very friendly and polite. I've seen the comments below and guess they may have taken it on board. Yes I got the $2.99 breakfast with add ons and it was reasonably good. Eggs were cooked to order. 2 of us ordered mushrooms they were so, so and there were way too many of them.
All in all we had a good experience. I did go and pay for all of us at the sofitel 10 minutes prior $126.50 with a 25% discount only to have been ignored at the counter for 8 minutes and being looked at 3 times when she finally came she was rude with an I'm better than you attitude, she took my money and her and 2 waitress had to set up a table in a restaurant that had 6 people in total-another 5 minutes. Her bad aura was sitting all around the room.
The long and short of it all is I got a refund, she would have only got worse, so this place in relation to food, ambience and service is great compared to there with a much nicer outlook. It's worth a visit for breakfast.

For all the money this restaurant spends on advertising for locals to go, you would think they would invest in staff that are not plain and down right rude. Being a sucker for a water view I have made the same mistake twice going there but never again. Once for dinner, I rang and made a reservation requesting a particular area. Rang a second time to confirm only to turn up on the night not having the requested table.
The second time I went with my family to have breakfast. The staff probably thought we were there to take advantage of their breakfast special, however, this wasn't necessarily the case. We arrived 2 minutes prior to them opening and were rudely told to wait with the waitress giving us dirty looks. We were also told rudely that they don't take breakfast reservations when I had called the morning before and someone had accepted my reservation!
We ended up going down around the corner and spent well over $100 on breakfast. It was worth it, I will not be going back to Aqua.

You get what you pay for, "eventually" but then again, you do not get what you pay for. Ok, the cheap breakfast was just average, $2.99 fair enough. The pancakes at $8.50 is from a packet mix "just add water" even my teenage daughter complained about them. Now, this is where you do not get what you pay for, orange juice in a plastic take away cup $4.50 it was not fresh OJ, it was mix up.
Iced Chocolate in a plastic take away cup $6.50 for a 300ml chocolate milk, no trimmings. I will never go back again. The waiter who served our table was a 3 year employee and obviously should look for a job that he enjoys, he was very rude. The cheap breakfast lured me in once.

My girlfriend and I went for dinner on a Friday night. We ordered two of the $15.90 special mains. My girlfriend had the garlic prawns and I had the chicken scallopini. The dishes were terrible. Mine was edible but not very nice, my girlfriend's was disgusting. Both dishes were drowned in an over-powering strong flavoured creamy sauce that was quite difficult to stomach after a few mouthfuls and my girlfriend's dish was covered in a thick cheese top that tasted burnt. To sum it up we felt the dishes were cheap and nasty. We initially thought it was our fault for ordering the 'cheap' meals, but we've had some great meals at other restaurants for less than this. It's disappointing because we like the location and feel of Aqua and love their Sunday breakfast deal. We won't be going back.

The rudest female staff member "what do you want" when apprently wanting to take our order! Ok food, certainly not the best breakfast in Qld. They need to actually dine there! Ordered a latte, got a cappuccino in a mug, milk burnt and bitter!
Best off going elsewhere!

Disappointing, service was terrible. Waiter was rude and obnoxious. I understand a set menu but the portion control was really confusing, how can you compare lamb chops and risotto with a few small bits of california roll. Definitely won't be back.
