Family owned and operated, we have dined here a couple of times and their Agedashi Tofu at $5 is a must-order item! Since our last visit most of the 'bar' seating has been removed to allow for cheap folding tables and chairs to take their place, popular with groups of Asian students, but I preferred the previous seating arrangement, it's lost some of it's 'family-style' ambience as a result and you are 'removed' from interacting with the owner-chef (always fun watching him make the sushi and sashimi).

Speaking of which, the sushi rolls are cheap and for those who prefer them 'tempura' style there's no problem or scowls, they have another section on the menu listing them too. Always a nightly 'set' special, around $13.50 (the night we visited it was eel set on rice, miso soup, also salmon). Good value dining. Be warned though, they tend to shut early (around 8.30 pm). Closed Sundays. BYO

Authentic Japanese cuisine from a Japanese Chef/Owner. Sushi that melts in your mouth. Fresh sashimi including various exotic sashimi like fish roes and sea urchin. Ramen is also great. The bonus is that it is very cheap.
