On holiday this place was recommended to us by a local, and for good reason! It was fantastic! The staff were quite jovial and happy to accommodate us even tho we came very late and without a reservtion.

The food was divine and the wine list, though small, was superb! I would highly recommend this place to anyone with an appetite for great home style food! And handly location, just across from the Q1! Can't wait to visit it again!

The pizza I had there was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. The pizza base was soft and under cooked. I took it back to the guy who I think was the senior staff of the restaurant, he didn't care. I would not recommend people to go there.

Alfresco went some way to restoring my faith in Gold Coast Restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly, service was good and the food was good. Meals were somewhat traditional and were of a 'home-cooked' style, but it has a wide selection of satisfying options, and a reasonable wine selection too. The prices were a bit over the top, but that's to be expected given the location. Overall, a good place to eat.

I've been a regular there on our family holidays for about 7 years and keep coming back. Great atmosphere and food. Place is a bit cramped and sometimes during busy periods the service is not great. They tend to stuff orders and things like that. But worth going to for the food.

Went here for dinner and was not impressed with the quality of the pizzas or service. The food was average at best and the price could be better. We got charged $3 corkage for a glass with ice. Will not be going back.

Went here for dinner and have to say not impressed with the service. The staff are rude and I think they are relying on the tourist trade not repeat business. The food is average for the price. We got charged $3 corkage for a glass with ice. There are plenty of other italian restaurants in town. Will not be going back.

Went to this place on our holiday. The ambience in this place is pretty poor, the standard italian fake wall paintings, 2 italian songs on replay with the volume too high. The food itself was ok, but the portion size was pretty shocking $16 for a tiny pizza is not good value if you ask me. The one thing that really rubbed us the wrong way was the service.

The staff was quite rude and when the food was served, the food was just chucked on the corner of the table and the waitress (who later on turned out to be one of the senior staff!) just kept walking... never seen anything like that in a restaurant.
Stay away from this one!

Family run business have been going there for 13 years and the food is extra special and delicious. Owner and son introduce themselves to you and all wait staff are so attentive. Its a 5 minutes walk from cavill ave and they will be one of the best restaurants you dine at all week. Only wish we could bring it back to Melbourne with us. All meals are well priced and served piping hot, do yourselves a favour.

An old favourite. Brimming with authenticity! It may not seem appealing at first, sidewalk location and nothing too flash. But the fact that it is always busy, speaks for itself. Incredible food (try the veal piccantae), beautiful owners and a huge hit with locals.
