Il Lido has a perfect spot for a restaurant overlooking the water in Darwin. If you get the chance to be here around sunset, you will enjoy such a great view.
But it is completely let down by having really ordinary food which is very expensive. Had a meal there one evening and despite only a few people in the restaurant, the main took well over half an hour to arrive. Service was also pretty ordinary.

During 7 months of travel in Australia, this caravan park was probably the worst we've done. Not because of the facilities (they are good) but because of the management. They have a lot of "rules" and it doesn't matter to respect the customer, rules are more important.
After 2 days in a camp site, we were supposed to leave at 10am. But our car was not working (no more battery), so we packed all our stuff and push the car until a parking space. We lived a word on the car with our phone number, and we waited in the kitchen for friends to help us.
The senior staff came and ask us to pay one more night only because we were still in the camp area. She didn't care about our problem, "the rules are the rules". She should work in a jail and not with customers.
We've done a lot of camp site in australia, most of them have powered and unpowered site. All of them let us use the electricity in the bathroom to connect a mobile phone when we were on a unpowered site (in one the owner took our mobiles into his house because there was no power at all...). But in this one they charge you 10$ if they see you using the plug.
There is a lot of caravan parks in Darwin, for the same price it's better to go where friendly people are!

My family and I went there for lunch, the services was absolutely horrible! We had ordered our food and waited 45 minutes for it to arrive. The kids menu was very deceiving my daughter ordered a pizza from the kids menu. It stated magherita which consists of cheese and tomato base. When it was bought out it had cheese on it, not mozzarella though, it was Parmesan and topping was pumpkin and basil. My daughter didn't eat it at all. It was too sweet and more for an adults taste.
I also ordered calamari the serve was tiny for the price paid and was too bland. They also state that aioli is served with it, they just squeezed mayo out of a jar. I've been a chef for 19 years and worked all over the world so bad luck for them as I will never be going back there.

I ate at this bar several times during a week long visit to Darwin. When it's busy, if you sit a little "out of the way" it can be a challenge to flag down a waitress, but that's really the only problem.
The food is great, I enjoyed the bruschetta and the prawn salad with bread. It was very nice, fresh food and came quickly, great when you're hungry after a big day. Lunch and dinner are both good, but it can get busy. The outdoor deck/balcony area is a really nice place to just sit and watch the world go by with a relaxing drink.

The Meen Fish Mooli is to die for as well as their Oysters. I have some of the fondest memories of this place and highly recommend it. Great romantic setting.

Bought some runners from Athletes foot. They started peeling after 6 months. I tripped whilst playing sport and nearly hurt myself.
I returned to see if they could do something about it, and they were very accommodating and replaced the shoes straight away. They also realised why it was happening and recommended a different shoe to accommodate the way I ran.
Happy to recommend them.

Food is tasty, reasonably priced and quick delivery to your table. The premises are wheelchair accessible and the closest wheelchair toilet is inside the Mitchell Centre next to Liquorland.
