Just rating the food: Good Malaysian.
My dad is Malaysian and I love Malaysian food. Not easy to find a decent Malaysian restaurant in Sydney these days. Friends recommended this little hideaway in quiet Croydon. We turned up without a booking with a party of 10 for Sunday lunch at 1pm and were able to get a table straight away.
The Nasi Lemak was the standout dish, delicious. The Roti Canai was average, Mamak in Chinatown does this better. The Char Kway Teow was average, Petaling St in Chinatown does this better. Chicken Satay, Lamb Curry and Hainanese Chicken Rice were yum but other places do these better.
Overall, our party left full and satisfied. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving Malaysian makan!

When we arrived for a family birthday dinner, the waitress put us in the front room where the TV was blaring. We asked for the TV to be turned off, but the staff refused saying that they could not work without the TV. Unbelievable! We came for dinner, not to watch TV.
Food was ok, but hardly exciting. Most of the staff looked desperately bored and disinterested. Only one young woman showed any enthusiasm.
Even though we are locals, we won't be in a hurry to go back. We'd rather go a bit further for a decent experience (without the blaring TV!). It is clear that they have been there a long time and have stopped airing about their customers long ago.

Great food but a little more pricey than many thai eateries, however, they serve larger portions.
Just as other patrons have mentioned, the restaurant is draughty and a bit loud next to the cooking area, plus the waiters are constantly walking past.
The chicken panang ($14.50) is extremely delicious, and worth visiting for. All the meals I have had here have been very, very tasty, and I plan to visit again as I've mostly only had curries and some stir-fry's.
I recommend this place!

Thank god there is now n ex-city coffee making Barista installed here. He is fantastic! They now (as at March 2012) have fast, good coffee. They also have Bonsoy! as a soy drinking coffee lover, the Croydon landscape was formerly only cafes with bad or slowly made coffee and/or bad soy. The food is also good I never get time to sit in and eat but the take away sweets are yummy.

The ambience is good and the attitude of the staff is exemplary. The service could be vastly improved upon because when you go to a restaurant where the time from taking the order to actually having the food on your table is in the vicinity of 50 minutes, the last thing you want to see is patrons who were seated after you being served before you were.
The staff had to be reminded to serve drinks when half an hour had passed without them being brought to us. With the specials being around the $25 price point which is quite high for an Indian eatery in the suburbs, there is a high expectation of it. A chilli lamb and prawn malabari was ordered and the lamb chilli was sweetish though the meat was cooked well and the gravy in prawn dish was bereft of any depth or flavor.
90% of the patrons were Anglo and maybe there was a case of blanding dishes out to suit the western palate. Being an Indian who has been out dining with Anglo Aussies very often I am in a position to say that what is appreciated is a chef putting the stake in the ground and turning out dishes the way it should taste originally and not sell your soul to pander to the "I like Indian food but it's got to taste like a meat pie" diner.

It is an expensive restaurant. Did not find the value for such pricey menu. Very crammed. You pay the price of Sydney CBD for a local suburban crammed restaurant. There are just as good and cheaper around the area. On top of these prices, you get charged a surcharge for credit card payment, even when the bill is over $80. Disappointed with the overall result. I will not be recommending the place, unless you don't care about what they charge.

We came here on Saturday. I had Egg Benedict and my partner had Big Brekkie. Big Brekkie was okay but the toast and potato rosti weren't good, toast was like supermarket home brand and potato rosti was like frozen hash brown. I definitely don't like my Egg Benedict.
For $17.90 I got 2 eggs, some wilted spinach and a Teeny-tiny piece of smoked salmon on a piece of soggy sourdough (which didn't even taste like sourdough to me). And the hollandaise sauce was tasteless. I would get a Lot better in some expensive cafes by paying that price! It's awful to eat at a place that shows no care in their food!

For customers who like to watch their weight or for those who can't tolerate creamy milk (and get tummy aches, If you're asking for skim milk coffee, you won't get it, as they use lite white and it was only because I saw it and noticed!

Get the takeaway because the service was "unter aller sau" we had to wait for an hour between ordering til we finally got the food and then it did not come together, we had to chase the rest up and all that without the hint of an apology, so after all that time the quality of the food could not make up for our frustration.

After reading the reviews on Eatability.com, I was eager to try Malaysia O'Town Kopitiam. I had only ever tried Malaysian food that was not home-cooked at Kuali in Lane Cove and some laksa places in Parramatta which are all quite far from where we live in the inner west so I was happy to hear about this place in Croydon.
As expected from the reviews, the interior was of poor taste but I knew from experience that appearances can be deceiving when it comes to cheap Asian dining. I chose the nasi lemak and my boyfriend ordered the laksa, and roti canai for a side. The roti canai as mentioned in other reviews was unimpressive and over-priced considering the lack of quality (I would pay $5 for good roti canai any day).
Our food arrived too quickly for it to seem as though it had been cooked to order and surely enough, the nasi lemak was only just warm. It tasted nice, although it probably would have tasted better if it was hot and freshly cooked.
My boyfriend was, on the other hand, delighted with the laksa. Being a fan of laksa and having tried it at many restaurants and noodle places in Sydney, he gives it a positive review.
Waitstaff were pleasant, polite and unintruding. Ambience might be improved with a playlist of some more appropriate music, as opposed to the radio station ads and chart music that we could hear from our table.
Overall, our experience was good, but we weren't blown away. I would go there again for a quick, casual, no-nonsense, cheap, local Malaysian meal.

The pizzas here are excellent (as they are at all Crust places I've been to). There is virtually no ambience the seating area is tiny, and I don't think you are supposed to eat the pizzas in store. Treat it like a takeaway/delivery place and you will not be disappointed.

Bad Service. The pizza is pretty good and has quite unique taste. Though base is pretty thin and pizza is not very filling either. So I feel it is bit overpriced. The seating arrangement is also quite poor. The worst thing about the whole shop is extremely rude and poor service. The service in crydon is so bad that one feels that pizza hut and eagle boys are like heaven.
