It was a nice evening and sitting outside on the decking beside the lake was lovely. If we could have brought our own food, it would have been perfect. Sadly the food we got from here was mediocre at best. The servings are quite large and filling, but the quality of the food let us down. We won't be back here to eat.

We had lunch on Sunday 17 Jan 2010 at Wok It Up, Belconnen. Food was served in cardboard boxes. Since it was a very hot day, we chose to sit inside the noisy, small, air-conditioned eatery, rather than outside by the Ginninderra lakeside.

Chilli Combo Box (thick rice noodles, bbq pork, breast chicken, beef & vegetables in hot chilli sauce) tasted good. Char Kuai Teow (CKT Box) was rather bland - nothing like the authentic stuff. Satay Chicken Box was gooey and of a non-descript taste.

Wok it Up started great but the food has gone downhill of late. The dishes can be a bit hit and miss depending on the cooks who are on shift. Sometimes it's right on the money, sometimes it is too greasy and other times it is far too spicy for the dish in question. Last time I went there, I ordered a "mild" satay but it was so hot that neither my husband or I could eat much of it.
