Ramen was absolutely disgusting, the worst I've ever had in this country. Overcooked noodles, large pieces of unrippable bok choi, and a cold sliced boiled egg (no, not a soy egg). The soup base was watery.
I should have returned it, instead I made myself (and my wife) eat it, and even paid. What was I thinking. Their sashimi salad was quite good, nice dressing, and the sashimi itself was also delicious, especially the salmon. Quite stingy on the quantity, though. I will never go again, wasted $9.5 times two for two bowls of bad ramen.

We had the kaisen set. The steak and the morton bay bugs were exceptional, I'd happily go back and order just those things. Everything else was nice enough although we were a bit disappointed with the rubbery prawns.
We went on a Thursday night, when we arrived there was no one else in the restaurant, they sat us to the side of one hot plate. It took more than half an hour for them to take our order and bring the wine, then another 15 minutes to start cooking. Between drink service and the start of cooking three more people came into the restaurant. For some unknown reason they sat these three people directly in front of the hot plate, around the corner from us. That was really a bit uncomfortable.
Once the cooking started the food came very quickly, maybe even a little bit too quickly as things got cold before we got a chance to eat them all. The chef was lovely and very helpful when we asked him to recommend a sake.
Would visit again but not in a hurry, probably on a weekend so that hopefully there is a better ambience.

Real Japanese flavor. I went there many times. Although I don't like the idea of "Teppanyaki" so much, all other foods are fantastic!

The restaurant was so busy on Saturday night that we weren't able to get a table, so we had lunch there on Sunday instead. We had the $15 teppanyaki set, which included miso soup, appetiser salad and sushi, teppanyaki chicken/rib eye fillet, fish/king prawn and rice (we paid an extra $3 for fried rice) and of course the food-catching show! Service was great, although we had to wait a while for the other bookings to arrive before the chef could start. Also, Wasabi serves Yebisu beer imported from Japan for the price of Sapporo.

We loved our meal and chefs so much that we left well over $100 tip for our small group! I will be back for my special occasions. The meat and seafood was cooked to perfection. A noisy, but pleasant ambience. Very entertaining.
