We had a fantastic evening. Food throwing is not our thing, and our wishes not to be covered in food were politely respected. We ordered Izakaya a-la-cart, lobster tail, fish and chicken, accompanied by mixed vegetables and rice. We also ordered 4 soft drinks and small sake all for 120.00.
The service was gracious and the serving size generous. Food was fresh and cooked beautifully. It was a delight to watch the Japanese chef work his skillful art. There are two Teppanyaki cook tops, each serving about 10-12 people with tables on the side for kitchen meals. We arrived at 6.45 and were asked to wait 15 minutes for the current setting to finish, but it wasn’t until 8.00pm that the chef started with our food, but at least we had entertainment during the wait.
We didn’t find the ventilation a problem, when you get that close to the cooking there’s bound to be a bit of “after smell”.

This is a small sushi and teppanyaki restaurant, so be aware that if there are any large groups, the teppanyaki tables get very noisy and smelly. We started with some mixed sashimi, which included salmon, tuna and eel. The quality of the fish was impressive, and the presentation was excellent. Miso soup and tempura with a perfect batter followed, which was enjoyed by all.
The servings are very generous, and all staff are friendly and courteous. The price is reasonable too. Our only gripe remains the smell from the teppanyaki area! Please improve the ventalation Wasabi!

The food was disgusting and this restaurant experience redefined bad Japanese. My wife could not eat the beef dish and she was worried the compressed, processed looking meat smelt and tasted more like offal. It was by no means anything close to traditional and good quality Japanese.
