Hi, we had a free coupon for a coffee and slice, we were pleasantly surprised when the lovely waitress told us we could choose any slice we wanted and asked us what we wanted to drink. My husband asked for a mugachino with soy and I had a tea and the waitress said that was fine. We decided to have a vegetarian quiche and said we would share that.

We were pleasantly surprised by Andrew who served the quiche, chips and salad on two plates to make it easier for us to eat. He served the food with such thoughtfulness and a welcoming genuine smile. Andrew you really made our day as we have had bad service many times eating out in Canberra and you are an exception to the rule buddy. Thanks Tulip cafe, love the food and the staff are great.

Asked for devonshire tea, counter girl was lovely, however, asked day senior staff to confirm. Senior staff got agitated and from the far corner of the kitchen and in a very loud voice said, "If you want tea you can order tea, if you want a scone you can order a scone if you want to call that devonshire tea you can but we don't have that on our menu."

Terrible attitude for such a simple question. The place is dated, the menu simple add this with our rude day senior staff and will not recommend to go to this place either that or don't ask if they have devonshire tea unless you want your head bitten off!

We visited for breakfast on a rainy late-winter morning and enjoyed our meal by the wood-burning stove. The food was nice, though the menu was somewhat limited, but it was lovely to enjoy the warmth looking over the nursery. It would have been helpful to have a sign indicating the parking area.
