The food was delicious, this place has not turned me down like many other Indian restaurants have. The food quality was really good for what it was priced and so was the quantity. The naan-bread that I ordered was cooked well, nice and soft and the aroma of spices from the chicken were delightful. Though the wait-staff was polite she should be professionally trained to know some tips of the trade. Will definitely return.

Just got back from Tandoor House. Very disappointed. Started off well with really good chicken tikka and popadums. The mains were awful. Ordered chicken moghli and beef madras. The chicken was tasteless which in the end was our saviour as the madras was awful. We literally couldn't eat it. Tasted like someone had knocked over some powerful spices into the dish and nobody bothered to taste it before serving.
When asked how our meal was I felt I should at least be honest and told the waitress politely that I couldn't eat the curry it was basically inedible. She just said "ok, can I get you anything else" this comment with no apology pretty much ruined the adequate service as well. Don't eat here unless you want to pay over the top ($10 for a starter, $15 main plus $2.50 for rice) prices for inadequate food.

No doubt about it, this place has one of the best butter chicken in the whole of Canberra. The chicken pieces are cooked in the tandoor first so it is extra moist, have a beautiful colour on the outside. The sauce is really to do for - thick, full of spices and all round yummy.
The other dishes on their menus are great too, but it's the butter chicken that I really like. The thing that lets this restaurant down is the atmosphere. It would help if they got rid of the tall-backed chairs. The staff also needs to be more upbeat and excited! But I suppose if you really love your butter chicken, you can forgive them that, or just have your take away.
