Yum, 2 of us had vegetable curry, dhal, lamb korma, rice and the best naan bread I have had in Australia, all served very quickly for only $40!

We went out for dinner there on new year's eve for my son's 22nd birthday. We were a mixed group of ages - and some vegetarians. The food was great, service wonderful and everyone was really pleased. Along with the b'day cake we brought the owner kindly provided a small cake from the restaurant(as well as a couple of free drinks for the b'day boy) which was such a nice touch - especially when your b'day in on new years eve - it never feels particularly special. I can highly recommend this restaurant for its good food, service and great prices.

We went out to Taj Mahal for a friend's birthday. The manager was really friendly, even gave the birthday girl a complimentary bottle of sparkling! Food, service, surroundings, prices, all fantastic! Highly recommend it!

Best Indian Restaurant in Canberra. I am vegetarian and although there are only 3 main courses to choose from, it is a case of quality rather than quantity. We have been there several times before and have never been disappointed. It's a cosy restaurant playing Indian music, and has a really nice feel to it.

Had visited a few times but haven't been here for over 3 months. Walked in the door (without a booking) and the manager first apologised that somebody else was already at "our table" and then sat us down and two minutes later we overheard him telling the waiter to grab a bottle of sparkling wine and two glasses and to put another on ice. What a memory.

Food is always good, with a choice of 'classic' dishes but with plenty of meat and vegetables in tasty, fragrant sauces. Service is excellent, friendly and efficient and prices are very reasonable. Really comes into it's own during winter with a warm, cosy feel to it and always seems to have a good crowd. Works well for a couple dining together but probably also a good option for work or family functions (if they all like curry). Strongly recommend it.
