A nice night out but it didn't quite hit the gourmet mark they are aiming for. We had 3 steaks ordered at the table, all medium rare. Three completely different, one well done because it was thinner, one medium and only one actually medium rare. Service fine but fairly casual in contrast to the prices.

We had a group booking so only had available a limited menu. We found one entree didn't come out at all and when questioned afterwards told "we ran out of those" and on the mains some of the vegies were missing. Service was bad, slow and inaccurate and when we pointed out the problems were told "sorry about that" and No effort was made to make up for their mistakes and No cost reduction was given. We will never go there again!

Good attempt at quality dining in Canberra. The tapas plate was a reasonable selection and set expectations for the other courses. The pork belly was well executed without setting the world on fire. Service tried hard and these guys know what they're doing, though overall maybe doesn't quite hit it for expectations at this price and for what is represented.

We went here with Canberra locals. You would not find it otherwise, it is in a fairly desolate, very down market shopping centre and is tucked away. At least there is a lot of parking!

Food is a definite surprise given the location. Duck was beautiful and others raved about the steak. While the service was pleasant and friendly it was slowish-our mains took a very long time and the common phenomenon of smaller tables being delivered their orders before larger tables seemed to apply here. Inside the restaurant is fairly upmarket but I just can not understand why it is in the back of beyond. As the restaurant was fairly full obviously its one of those places that people go to if they know about it-its just not a place you would just stumble upon.

Went here for an anniversary dinner with my partner and Rocksalt did not disappoint. We had the 8 course degustation and it was absolutely yummy. Dessert was delicious! Will definitely return!
