We started with a great prawn entree beautifully done, then the mains came, what a disappointment 3 out of 4 were so over cooked that they couldn't be eaten, how the hell do you make pork belly dry and tough? and the tuna was like boot leather but the waitress was so wonderful she gave us free desserts,
brownies which were burnt and dry and were sent back all was not lost the cheese plate was great. Don't go try somewhere else, great service from the wait staff, shame the kitchen let them down so badly with no apology.

Redsalt is the greatest place in canberra if you really want an awesome seafood chowder and steak with chips, highly recommended.

When in Canberra I always stay here at the Crowne Plaza. Redsalt is a mainstay. I find the food fresh, inspired and seasonally balanced. The decor is Ok - nothing out of the ordinary and the waitstaff are generally younger Uni student types but always well informed and very pleasant. Breakfasts are done in here also and they are a high quality but typical 4star hotel fare. I'll gladly eat here.
