Although the food is not excellent, we do love coming to this place because it is local to us and it has a nice atmosphere. We all love the bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip, and our children like sharing the canelloni. We often share a few entrees, like the mushrooms on bread, the anchovies and the calves liver. All quite rich and delicious. Some of the mains are not very good. All servings are huge (you have been warned), so an entree size pasta is generally enough for most people.

Marinetti always satisfies when looking for some home-style Italian cooking. The mushrooms on toast for entree are divine and large enough to almost be a meal in themselves! The meals are basic, but tasty. My last meal there was a pork fillet in mustard cream sauce. It was beautifully cooked. The service is a bit "hit and miss" as there is often only one person on the floor (albeit a small room of only about 10 tables). No BYO charge is a real bonus and there's a handy IGA in the same shopping strip if you've not brought any wine. If you're not in a super hurry, but enjoy home cooking, then this is a great place for a midweek meal.
