Do not touch this place on Fri or Sat nights! Everyone appears underage, very seedy. Food average at best.

Obviously, my rating is pub specific - the food is a 9, for a pub, in Canberra. Having said that, the schnitzels here are as good as they get - large, cooked well, nice gravy and generous portions of tasty chips. Although you order at the bar, the wait time to have your food brought out is always good - about 10 minutes.
Although I've heard this place can get fairly messy at night, during the day/afternoon on weekends it is always tame. Nice spot when the sun is shining for a meal and a beer. Long and short - compared to many other Canberra pubs, the food here is great.

The service isn't great, the ambience is fine on weekdays when it's an after work drinks venue, wouldn't touch this place late Friday night or Saturday night.
However, they do awesome food! Far better than regular pub food. The schnitty is perfect, and you can get it with the world's best mash if you ask for it. Never had a bad meal there, and decent prices. Just avoid the teenager crowd late at night and you'll be right.

Good place for a drink and an easy meal although don't expect to have a good conversation as the music is too loud. Over the weekend it is more of a bar then a pub with the dance floor taking up most of the main area. Great steak!
